Slinky Right people i didn't tell you this but things are looking good on the Taylor front.

Clubs agreed fee.

Player happy with terms offered.

Player happy with club facilities and personnel after having had a look around.

Contracts to be exchanged on 1st Jan so barring any late stupid bids from the top few clubs then he is ours.....RESULT!

a) He played against us, and would not have done if the deal was agreed etc.
b) It's over a week into Jan, so all of these posts stipulating that it's a done deal are fiction.
c) SC says we are not after any left sided players.
d) We already have Hunt and Convey for the left.

I think we can give up on this one now.

will you apologise if you're wrong cos i will?

Go on then SLOLinky, even though it is the hardest word to say

Dangerous
Ian Royal Still can't see this happening, though I'd have no problem with Hunt and a specialist right winger for the right. Would certainly spell the end of the Bobster IMO.

I'll hold my hands up if it does happen Slinky.

Everything is in place, it's RFC dragging their heels on this now, Matty is ready to sign on the dotted line.

I'm happy to take the flak for this however i'd also like to share it with Dangerous if possible as he also knew the source and was happy to back me up when it was possible but seems to have gone underground in recent hours.......

Not signing Taylor is no big deal for RFC .

We've got plenty of quality down the left, and whilst it would be nice to have bought him in, we have far more important areas of the pitch to fill.

I've never rated him the times I've seen him play over 90 minutes,
& the only reason he sticks in the mind is for the couple of wonder goals he scored a couple of seasons back.

That doesn't make him any better than Shorey/Hunty or Bobby, and given that he's gone to Bolton, that gives some idea of how other PL teams rate him too.

Thats £4m saved imho.

To be fair he hasn't really got anything to apologise for. I believe everything he's said and the only reason he didn't sign for us is because Shorey and/or Hunt are going nowhere and Coppell doesn't need another left sided player.

There is one massive condition that any of these being possibilities are dependant on.
