Rumour - John-Joe O'Toole

by Only one Trevor Morley » 07 Jan 2009 09:19

From the Times

Wolves have offered a cash plus player deal for John-Joe O'Toole but Watford want straight cash - O'Toole 20 is also wanted by Reading

Another midfielder?

According to Wikipedia almost all of his goals have come from headers .... is this our 'tall' striker type player we're looking for? I know it says he's a midfielder ....

Good young Irish attacking midfielder. Wouldn't mind seeing him join us but I wouldn't say that central midfield (that his position according to the Watford official site) is a priority for us.

A watford fan I spoke to described him as 'a poor man's Stephen Hunt'.

I suppose we could do with a 6th choice central midfielder

Yes, Coppell says hes not sure of his best midfield mix, so lets just buy another and increase the permutations further!

Do you think if you say that, Reading FC will listen to you and buy this player?

I thought he was Watford's best player by a mile at Vic Road in September.

Thaumagurist* Now, now, there's no need for insults - I never insulted you, and yet you behave like that. Grow up. Or get a sandwich bag.

Yesy please.

Did I spell spactard right? I wasn't sure.

I'm quite glad you're not our DoF Jay. You'd buy EVERYONE that was offered to us and we'd end up with 200 players on the books.

Sums Jay up something chronic!

NO to MORE Midfielders.

YES to Strikers.

Did we not learn anything from last season? Having lots of bodies but gaping holes in the first team is not the way to be successful.
