CMRoyal I'm going for 6 tonight, 7 if you count scarf - 2x T-shirts, shirt, jumper, fleece, thick coat. Plus 3x pairs of socks, a hat and I might even put some trousers and shoes on.

Damn that undersoil heating!

I thought this topic was about betting and not a very girly "What are you wearing tonight thread?"
BTW if young girls can go out on a Friday night with not much more than a hankerchief on whatever the weather how come some of you young bucks have to dress up as if this were Siberia?

Nezhen This kind of behaviour makes my blood boil !

Why can't you simply put on a thick ski-type jacket, salapet style trousers with a hat and gloves?

So all the survival experts are wrong when they say that you should wear layers when you go out in the cold... I bet all the Marines on training in norway will get rid of all the layers that they wear and just buy a ski jacket hat gloves and salapets???

Are salapet trousers something that john salakos cat wears when its cold???

Who's close to sacking tonights game off?

by Thames » 09 Jan 2009 13:40

I've just walked from The Butts to Boots down Broadstreet and back again and I'm frozen.

Seriously cant be bothered to go tonight now as it will only get colder. Why feel let down and dissapointed when I can feel like that at home or in the pub?

Who else is boycotting?

How can you even consider missing another classic installment in the always tedious series of fixtures between Reading and Watford? What a bloody awful choice for a tv game, feck off SKY.

On paper, it's the worst game they could have picked. Add to that the weather and I think the pub is calling my name.

Completely agree, who actually picks the games they show? Its going to be one of the worst adverts for championship football ever seen. Watford have no ambition to come here and play football, we haven;t got the ability to deal with that, it'll be a shocker.

Our plan started as hit a pub somewhere south of town then race over to the Mad Stad at half-time if the game is exciting and/or we get pangs of guilt (we're on a consecutive home league match run that stretches to three figures), but has morphed into go to the match and invoke the Jazz Cafe get-out clause if the game fails to keep us warm. There's time to change our mind again I guess. What's the general feeling about the expected attendance tonight?

I normally go to footy with about 30 mates. Only 4 are going to the game.

Reading FC is dead.

Anyone who doesn't go tonight just because its a bit chilly, is someone We'd better off not having at the ground at all.

Ooh, get her!

I bet that Madejski doesn't share that attitude, as he looks around at 8,000 empty seats tonight.

The very example of a fair weather fan!!!

I as usual will be getting in my car driving the 80 miles to the ground to support my team that's why I have a season ticket.
