I don't think you'll get fined for it, however I reckon you'll get thrown out for it. Any abnormal behaviour and your out on your ear now-a-days. Can't remember who it was, might have been the red devils, but when they parachuted in with flares strapped to their legs the MS was full of smoke for ages, and it was actually hard to see the pitch. And they all got chucked out straight away and never seen again

There were no repercussions from the police or stewards for setting off the flare at Derby, take as many as you like, you'll be fine.

I wouldn't recommend paint bombs though.
