On ITV SouthWest tonight report on Bournemouth v Plymouth also said that Wright-Phillips was left out of the Argyle team as he's on his way to Reading.

Which is a poorer ratio than Church. Looks like the laughs on Royalee again.

This many 'confirmations' as such suggests it's all but announced now. The RFC team and McDermott won't comment on transfers if they aren't confident as well

Why? I don't think we should sign Wright-Phillips either.

^ Ok but why slag Church off. He's still very young and like it or not his scoring record for us in the Championship is very respectable.

Because he couldn't finish half a bag of chips and reminds me of Paul Brayson.

Did McDermott say that Wright-Phillps and a unnamed player were signing?

Which doesn't explain why he has a perfectly good scoring record. As for the Brayson comparison.........

This has to be a windup, I do absolutely NOT want him and if we are going for him instead of charlie austin the club can oxf*rd off, taking the dirt cheap option as usual. I've seen BWP a handful of times, never impressed.

Said there is definitely a possibility of BWP signing (he can't say yes it's on tbf) and that we may have another name in the pipeline as well, i'd guess at Leigertwood

Why Leigertwood? Wouldn't he just say Leigertwood.

Austin?

unless one is on the way out...

It's Leigertwood and BWP. We've been priced out of a deal for Austin.

I can't see us signing two strikers, certainly not after Hunt and Long's partnership. Tbh i thought RFC would try and get out of signing any striker because of the recent form of Long, happily not.

Fair point about Leigertwood, as McD has always been open about hoping to sign the lad, i think it may a possibility we get an attacking midfielder (this Wright bloke from Scunny) and just extend Leigertwood's loan as i'm sure Warnock and QPR will have no issue over unless a bid has come in

If he plays 46 games and scores us 11 goals a season I would be delighted and say that's great value the estimated £300k fee.
