He could always put a 1 between the 2 and the 0 and claim it's a result from the future.

If anyone's considering backing the blue team this weekend, everyone's favourite ongoing farce have published a handy guide for those who are 'not yet diehard fans'. Includes tips such as using the affectionate nickname 'Blues', not to say you like Colin Summerbee and that the ground is called Eastlands because of the district of Manchester it lies in (which is, as far as I've ever known it, called Bradford).

The club Head of Digital's response to the inevitable fan anger is also worth a look.

I'd have thought it pretty obvious, but this wasn't an article meant for you and it wasn't meant to be patronising.

There are so many layers of irony in that. I can't work out which bit to laugh at first.

I have to say a big good luck to the Blue idots tomorrow. After a few years in the wilderness, it looks as though they have a great chance to win something. And some could say they have looked like winners all the way through the competition.

You can never write Jedward off though. Those guys have a lot of support too

I hear that next seasons FA Cup and others thereafter will no longer kick off at 3pm, this (yet again) being due to TV and media broadcasting requests.

The FA conspire to demean this competition even further

FA Cup is a special occassion, signals the end of our domestic football season and i have to say that this years final is tarnished by being played when it is.

Slightly funny that my brother is a Stoke fan, he is up there today and the nation do not appear to be bothered by the final.

There are 5 changes coming in which are intended to "revitalise" the cup. These are :

1. Remove/Reduce £15 minimum ticket price
2. Requirement to field “full-strength” teams
3. An early evening Cup Final kickoff
4. The final match of the English season
5. Replays

This last one is removing replays in the quarter-finals, and having these spread over a single weekend (Fri, Sat, Sun, Mon) with no competing PL matches those days.

Aren't you listening to Peter Reid, Andy Townsend and Gareth Southgate? It's a very good, interesting game apparently...

I was. Then I muted it. Then I started listening to Alan Green on 5Live talk about sandwiches. I'm now watching in silence.
