muddyfeet god knows who is getting tickets as everytime I get back in, its the same block and same row available!

I think that's part of the problem. If you select those, they aren't really available and rather than telling you they just kick you out! Shambles!

I finally succeeded after giving up on the back rows of the singing block and going for 133 mid way up.

I think that's coincidental - I used IE8 and didn't clear history or cookies or anything like that.

I deduce that where it's going wrong is once you select tickets and it goes to the next stage - if too many other people have selected tickets in the same row at the same time it throws a wobbly because there suddenly aren't enough left to sell in that row.

There ought to be proper locks and reservations to stop this sort of thing happening - so it's not anything to do with browsers, it's sloppy, sloppy back-end programming and poor capacity planning.

Surely you'll all be too drunk by kick-off to actually care?

When you select seats on-line - try selecting from the blocks at the bottom of the list. Everyone else will probably be selecting from those at the top so there's less likely to be an error as above.

Jerry St Clair Could be worse. Swansea are reporting a 5 hour queue outside the Liberty Stadium. The club have told people not to come down because they won't get a ticket today.

Are you sure?.......Swansea dont have THAT many season ticket holders

I suppose if I'm too drunk to care, it won't matter what sort of state everyone else is in.

Swansea have a smaller TO and are selling one block at a time in each category and they're letting non STHs buy a ST at the same time. At least the TO has separated the queues for each category and they have a lot more people selling.

Mr Hoppy A warning to others. It may have been a coincidence by I spent 75 minutes trying to get through using Mozilla Firefox and it kept crashing after the point where you pick your seats and rows. Like I said it may have been a coincidence, but first time I used IE9, I got all the way through the process.

There are still a number of websites which struggle with Firefox unfortunately.

Funny that because a lot of other people are reporting failure with IE and first time success with Firefox. Would seem it's probably coincidental and the root cause of the problem is the site itself.

I think the problem is, they are also selling season tickets - so people are turning up to buy a ST in order to get their play off ticket

Well done RFC in not allowing this to happen

Agree. based on that the Reading system is far better. Yes, at times of peak demand you can struggle to get on but at least when you are you can normally select and pay for tickets without it crashing.

I was trying to book from the blocks at the bottom of the list and it was still crashing. As you said previously, it would appear to be a very poorly constructed system.
