Ex-Royal Graham Stack arrested

The story about how Graham Stack got his injury before the away game at Cardiff is always a LOLz!

Is that the "mate tried ironing his shirt whilst he was wearing it" one?

Yes.

wink wink.......

I share the view that you can't expect footballers to be too much different to all the other lads they would've counted as their peers if they weren't earning bucket loads of cash for kicking a ball around.

However, the flip side of that is that with those silly wages comes a lot of opportunity and responsibility. They shouldn't need to act like the total c**ts they do because they have the resources to drag themselves out of the situations that often lead to the kind of thing we hate them for.

Hoop Blah I

See this is what I don't get. Playing football is not a position of responsibility however much the media and fans seem to think it is. There are no requirements other than footballing ability to become a professional footballer. Real positions of responsibility such as jobs within parliament, certain council positions, police, etc all require exams and pretty strenuous methods to get in. Footballers are footballers...they kick a ball into a goal and thats it. Just because they are idolised by small kids watching football does not make it a position of responsibility. Its bad parenting if you allow your kid to copy footballers in doing stupid things when they read about it.

In any job your representing your employer out in the rest of the world. For the majority that doesn't really matter because nobody really gives a shit about the sparky getting off his tits or the pensions admin clerk grabbing some jailbaits arse.

When your job is high profile and your recognisable and 'of public interest' your behaviour dirrectly reflects on those who pay you. It's the same in many industries where people are disciplined for damaging their employers name. The fact that these young men are also idolised by millions of impressionable punters just increases those responsibilities.

Certainly had a colourful time of it, didn't realise he'd also been stabbed, for which his attacker got five years.

Paul Merson arrested for drunk driving. If guilty I hope he goes to jail, loses his job and is treated with the utter revulsion he deserves.
