Leeds (H) - Good Friday

by Friday's Legacy » 31 Mar 2012 20:50

We could go 7 points clear of West Ham, and we can also go top if Saints wobble again. There are rumours tonight that Lambert could be out for the season?

I look at that table tonight and can't help but feel a little excited. We are so close now to automatic promotion.

Our relaxed one game at a time approach may be boring to some but works so well for us. It keeps the pressure off the team and they just enjoy their football and can't wait for the next game.

An added incentive for us supporters on Friday is a defeat for Warnock will almost certainly end Leeds' season. It's pretty much over already, but they have to beat us to keep their faint hopes alive, and we'll all enjoy getting another one over our good friend Colin. But it also means Leeds will throw everything at us and not sit back. That in itself could play into our hands with our style of play.

I cannot wait for Good Friday!

They've had some terrible results recently, today being one of them. A solid 3-0 at fortress Madejski.

If we win against Leeds, we'll be top for Friday night at least as Southampton don't play till Saturday - Pompey (H). They then play again on Monday away at Palace. If Lambert rumours are true it could be squeaky-bum time for the Saints (though I hope they squeak their way into 2nd, behind us  )

Looking at the table now, even if we just win our remaining home games that would take us to 85 points meaning West Ham would need 13 points from their last 6 as well as overcoming -3 goal difference.

Anyway...

3-0

Many many many draws. Obviously some exceptions, but you get my drift.

IF only it was that simple! Plus Colin is *still* going to want to put one over us!

West Ham have Barnsley away. They should do that.

Southampton have Portsmouth at home. They should do that.

But still, Win our 3 remaining home games and it might be enough.

Thats my prediction.
