zaha deal dead according to the times reporter jacob. they want 4m and 2m add-ons. we wont go that far because we're trying to everything on the cheap!!

How much did we sell Sig for then what did he go on for in this window? Would we have bought him for the amount we sold him? Not a chance, in that situation if we didn't own him that is, we'd have made profit in a short period.

They must assume that Zaha isn't worth it or it is short sightedness.

He's only slightly better than Antonio, who we sold for £700k.

Indeed, people say it's 'only £6m', but that fee then sets a precedent which every club we try to buy from will then use as a bench mark from which to value their players.

Is Zaha any better than Kebe/McAnuff/McCleary? Probably not, and definitely not to the extent to where we should push the boat out that far to get him.

Yep, must be recieving decent wages now as well. Please for him to have done so well there, thought he was being a bit naive when he stated his commitment to getting in the first team rather than leaving for a lower league Prem club but he made the right decision

Chelsea pay their young players ridiculous wages so he was probably receiving a very decent wage anyway. As an example, Nathaniel Chalobah is on £15,000 a week.

FL mentioned talks took place weeks before deadline, and then started again as the window approached, and gazza, loyal royal came out and backed that up and said the "deal was very close". Maybe we'll look at it again in Jan?
