You heard it here first.

Not strong enough.

Southampton sign Ramirez, West Ham sign Carroll.....

Come January when we are struggling for goals.

Firstly, i heard nothing, but just read an non constructive post from some one with little football knowledge. I think we had all this nonsense this time last year. Your real name must be 'Frank Fickle'.

Going to be kicking ourselves when chelsea sign france star Jordan Ayew for £20 million next year

Prefer to have Martinez or Laudrup than Mr-Boring-and-play-it-safe Mcdermott. At least they know how to spend money.

I really do find it ironic that we're sponsored by Waitrose. Should be looking at Aldi or Lidl.

Pogrebnyak, Le Fondre, Roberts, Hunt and Church. I think we'll be okay. Have faith.

I've checked, he's definitely a striker as well.

Did we really need another thread on this? Someone's about to say we need an attacking midfielder, and that'll be countered with "Guthrie"...and on we go.

Cheer up, we're back in the premier league, we made some ace signings early on instead of last minute big name transfers, and I for one am going to enjoy the ride of watching a well grounded team of players that feel like a unit fight tooth and nail to stay up... It's gonna be ace, whatever happens.

Now where have I heard those immortal words before :?

Oh yeah :| We have the same boring people who have posted the same boring prediction EVERY SUMMER for the last decade and in that time, apart from one top flight relegation, we've never finished worse than 9th, enjoying 2 promotions and several play-off campaigns.

Why not come back in January to see if, for once, you and your boring ilk finally get something right.

Meanwhile, the rest of us can get on with supporting one of the biggest footballing success stories in the country

We've got plenty of strikers.

Pog has the potential to be one of our best signings of recent times. It's only been two games and we're still not even sure of who to play with him. Him and Alf could end up being amazing. Him and Roberts could be even better, with Alf as an impact sub, just like last year. We haven't fully explored the options, but I'm sure next game we'd have found something that works and settle in to it.

This international break will help us train together as a team, get people really match fit and put together all the pieces in the best places.

We've got a great selection of wingers, and decent competition for centre mid. We've the greatest CB pairing from the Championship last season, so there's no reason why they can't perform again at this level. And we have three top class keepers to choose from.

Forget a striker, just give the team some time to gel.

We've drawn against Stoke, not exactly a bad result, and we played out of our skins and narrowly lost against the European Champions.. I'd say that's a pretty decent start to the season. Look at the whole picture, not just 1 point out of 6, and the millions of pounds other teams have spent.
