Who's to say what "worst" is. One person's "worst" is another's "best".

My picks would be :

Worst to get to : Selhurst Park/White Hart Lane
Worst for sightlines and legroom : Loftus Road
Worst for stewards : Charlton
Worst for atmosphere : Brisbane Road

The stewards at Forest are a special breed.

And there you have it.

Quite why anyone would take the coach to any ground in London, considering the good train links to London from Reading. :|

a) Because I go with my Dad who's not a big fan of taking public transport to games
and b) Because we come down from the Midlands for games

Agreed. As are the ones at Leeds. But Charlton have the worst ones in London - many of them work as prison officers at Belmarsh and steward for the extra dosh and the lols of being obnoxious to visitors

I tend to find most of the Midlands grounds have the worst stewards known to man.

But anyway, with regard to the topic I would go for Selhurst. Can't think of a single redeeming feature.

I like Selhurst because it's rubbish. The atmosphere is usually pretty decent and it's easy for me to get to. Same with Charlton and Milwall.

Upton Park was very :| Sad to hear Daggers have gone all seating because that away terrace was a proper throw back. Fulham is first class.

Whilst my local, Bromley (Hayes Lane) is proper old, it's always freezing cold and windy even in the summer so that get's my vote.

I really like Selhurst Park, but having thought about it I have no idea why, nothing to like about it. So maybe I like it because its rubbish too

Loftus Road is a horrible horrible ground, been there far too many times as well

paultheroyal Harrow Borough is a bit grim.

Bit surprised by that.

I love the Harrow Borough Logo they used to have blatantly ripped of from the London Underground - don't think it's there any more.

Anyway, it'd be Selhurst Park for me.

Stuka
Broxroyal My vote goes to the Orient, - got nothing going for it at all.

Their supporter's club bar is very good. Cracking pint of Mighty Oak - Oscar Wilde Mild, numerous CAMRA accolades and good atmosphere.

The ale at Tooting & Mitcham is good too.

I doubt the STAR coaches leave from Midlands. And isn't the coach a form of public transport :?:

Blakey's Right Peg I tend to find most of the Midlands grounds...

This thread is about grounds in London, you want to talk about grounds in Midlands, start a spin-off thread :!:

LoyalRoyalFan Selhurst Park.

I liked Selhurst Park (Except for it's stupid ticket-selling policy and the fact that it is miles from anywhere). Don't clearly recollect Loftus Rd (Many years since I've been there) but didn't have TOO much of a problem with it. Stamford Bridge, on the other hand, was a complete and utter cess-pit (But may have been revamped since I was last there).

I may be a rare breed of Reading fan who's actually seen us win at Vicarage Road - 1-0 win on 1st October 2004 (I think?) Either Sidwell or Hughes headed it in down the far end to send us to our then highest ever league position (1st in Div 1...I know we were 1st place for parts of the 94/95 season but was when PL had 22 teams rather than 20)
