Roberts, Legs and HRK out apparently.

Therefore I think Brian will go for:

Feds
Gunter, Pearce, Mariappa, Harte
Kebe, Karacan, Guthrie, McAnuff
Alf, Pog.

Have a bad feeling we're going back to 4-4-2. If not, then stick Akpan/Carrico in there and take Alf out.

Would like:
---------------Feds-------------
Gunter Mapps Pearce shorey
-------------Carriço------------
--------Karacan Guthrie------
Kebe--------------------Mcanuff(c)
----------------Pog--------------

But brian will have Harte instead of Shorey
Also I finally have a slight glimmer of hope Brian will finally drop Legs.

Why does everyone pick Guthrie? What's he ever done for us?!

Been mediocre, but the only person with the potential to be a playmaker.

akranes
Simon's Church Team that beat Everton, obviously our strongest line-up.

I don't see Carrico starting. He's not played a lot of football this year. I think we're more likely to see Tabb back in midfield with Carrico coming on for the last 20. Legs is out with a knock as is HRK, so we may see Akpan on the bench too.

I'd go with:

-------------------Feds-------------------
--Gunter--Pearce--Morrison--Shorey--
---------Carrico--------Karacan---------
--McCleary-----Guthrie-------Kebe-----
--------------Pogrebnyak*---------------

*I love ALF loads and loads and loads but Pog has worked so hard lately and it's sort of paying off so can't drop him!

Subs: Taylor, Harte, Marriapa, Akpan, Leigertwood, McAnuff, ALF

hoping we will see;

==================Federici======================
=Gunter=====Pearce=====Morrison=======Shorey=====
=================Carrico========================
===========Karacan====Guthrie/Akpan*=============
==Kebe===============================Mcanuff====
==================The Pog=======================

*Not sure if Akpan would do any better but not been impressed enough by Guthrie so would be happy with the switch

He looked very good against QPR on Tuesday. I expect if he does play he'll only get 65-70 minutes, but that'll do.

Tough one this, I'd quite like to see Akpan and Carrico pair up in midfield. Unlikely perhaps, but with Carrico sitting and Akpan playing the Sidwell role of getting up and down the pitch it might give Guthrie more time and space on the ball. Very harsh on Jem, but I'm not sure he has the technique or speed of thought to be particularly effective in a middle 3 that is looking to retain the ball.

Fed
Gunter
Mapps
Pearce
Harte
McCleary
Carrico
Akpan
Guthrie
Kebe/McAnuff
Pog
