moo How often do we see players banging in goals at the lower leagues and never make it? Andy Morrell has a class above and never managed it. I'd love to take a wager that he would FLOP in this league.

Oh Mr. Moo ..... what do you say now?

Loving the doom-mongers being proved wrong. Yes, let's hope Le Fondre and co. bang some goals in tonight. My fantasy football team needs it.

I remember being so happy when we signed him. Unlike, I dare say, the majority of you, I had actually heard of him long before we signed him. I knew he was banging in the goals for Rotherham and I can remember watching him score 4 goals against Cheltenham in a 6-4 win near the beginning on the 2010/11 season. That was when I thought he is exactly the type of player we need. I followed his progress more closely after seeing that, and I was certain a Championship club would snap him up last August but I never believed that it would be us. It was great to see us sign a proven natural goalscorer, I hadnt been that happy about a signing since Leroy Lita in 2005. And when you consider the fee was ony around 400k it looks an absolute steal. He can score goals at any level, watch him prove any doubters wrong.

Alan Partridge Think Jamie Cureton with even less work rate.

Seen him play against the Gulls and other than missing a penalty, I can barely remember him touching the ball.

Oh wow, you should be a football manager or something! Your scouting talents a clearly second to none, and you clearly can spot a player!

To be honest,I like le fondre, I think he's great - but what is the f*ing point posting a massive post about how you always knew it? Was anyone really doubting him? Eejit

Wow what a gem le fondre is. Not just his goals either, his touch and movement ran everton ragged today. That's Everton! A huge example of how fourth tier players shouldn't be overlooked for more fashionable names. Incredible to think 15 months ago he was in league two. Yet another name to engrave on the rfc bargains list.

Snowball Would have thought a step too far if we go up

But even if we are Championship, we will have Manset, Williams both "stepping up".

This guy would be the third with Hunt-Church the main men?

Whos better, our current no.9 or the previous one?

TBM, 26 Aug 2011 Thing is Simon Church could score 25 goals in league two..........so until this bloke starts banging them in, for us in the Championship i am not getting too excited

Are you excited yet?

I don't know if it has been mentioned yet but Alfie is joint 6th for goals scored in the PL as of this post and joint 5th in scoring for forwards. Just wanted to make light of those factoids... 8)
