A thoroughly good effort from us today. First free kick was a bit dodge but nice one for the second. Sound from McCarthy again and we looked threatening in attack. Pog was alright and a good defensive performance from the back four. I'll take that.

The only thing I'm slightly worried about is still scoring from open play, but 13 points from 15! Won't complain too much just yet.

Pog was literally busting a gut to impress.... We were slightly worried in first 10 he might of been at risk of another red, but alas, he was magnificent :D

Really good performance

The only downer for me was Robson Kanu

He had a couple of really poor touches today and wasn't quick enough on the ball

Which lead to a few attacks just breaking down

Thought Pog played well

HRK's weakness is 100% his pace, but he makes up for that in other areas. 'cause of that I don't think his best place is out on the wing but he generally does a job there, and we still won.

I think HRK is the same as he's always been. It's just the quality of the players around him has improved and it is this that makes him look shitter.

Good win for The Royals

Brum were hopeless

The officials were tiny

Pretty poor Brum team tbh, didn`t really need to get out of first gear, good passing football in the 1st half was replaced by a scrappy long ball game in the 2nd half , stand out performances from Guthrie and Morrison for me, Pavel did very well with his hold up play, but blotted his copybook with a bad miss in the final minutes, but a marked improvement for sure,
Still lacking a cutting edge in the final 3rd for me, but we are turning into a hard team to beat.

Thought the whole team looked solid today. Can't fault any of them. Thought Pav & HRK linked up very well today. Alfie was the only player I thought was relatively quiet.

Find it weird that people say Brum were bad. Thought they looked quite tidy on the ball & did a good job in midfield just a bit lacking in the final third.

Dellor said on the radio they look like relegation fodder. I don't think that at all - I'd say top half for them.

Decent win, 2ppg now & onto Barnsley. Very happy.

Thought the ref had a good game today. Unlike the refs v Leeds and Brighton, he seemed to want to avoid giving out yellow cards for every foul.

Drenthe or McAnuff in for HRK when fit please.

McCarthy's kick against Zigic was

Pog looked up for it today, he keeps the ball so well when played to his feet. Him and ALF linked up well at times.

Also, How many times was ALF offside?

Solid but unspectacular, never really got going but the truth is we didn't have to, whilst Birmingham got in some good areas they lacked the quality to really threaten us, it wasn't a 'great' performance as I've heard some call it but its another solid 3 points and we are in good shape going into Barnsley.

Shame all the top 6 won today though, we're 2 points behind 2nd but we are only 6th. Only a matter of time.

Disappointing to not get a clean sheet and also that I missed the third goal despite being there till the end ....

Comfortable but uninspiring win. Don't want to see us use 442, not as fluid as recent weeks. Don't want to see Alfie start either, poor today. Guthrie and Baird superb.

Anyone else think our support at home is getting worse by the game? I cannot remember it ever being as bad as it is now.

All very well giving it the biggun at 2-0 but they need a hand to get there in the first place! There used to be some good song starters at the top of Y25/26 - I can only presume they've got older & moved elsewhere in the ground or don't go at all any more.

Think it's because we don't play a high tempo anymore.

I just find it cringeworthy when they sing to Brum "Your support is shite" after we go 2-0 up having pretty much sat in silence for an hour. Brum didn't bring that many but they made a fair bit of noise.
