Royston worst ever Reading signing?

by jellytot » 02 Jul 2014 23:52

When you consider wages against performances he must be in top 3.

Other candidates for this award?? Mas Sarr, karl Asaba (striker who could not head..)

Anyway good rid Royston.

Don't really care for the hate, he played for Real Madrid and showed some lovely skills for us, far more enjoyable watch than Shaun Cummings or Nick Blackman.

Royston > Reading.

Not sure this even deserves a reply.

He wasn't fat and he never really had a chance. Who knows what was going on behind the scenes, but it obviously wasn't encouraging or welcoming.

Is he trouble? Yes.
Is he capable of brilliance? Yes.
Did he set your pulse racing? Yes.
Is he Reading's worst signing? Two words. Emerse. Fae.

Probably. He is probably in the top three of the worst players we have ever had.

Definitely not the worst. Probably the most disappointing when you compare the excitement and expectation when he signed, to his actual performances and impact.

No. He's still a better signing than Nick Blackman.

Oh yes Carl Asaba the striker that could not head yet still scored 13 goals in one of the crappiest Reading teams that ever existed and deservedly finished bottom of a division for the first time in their history.

Mark Reilly would be the worst. The guy looked like he'd been plucked from the crowd having never seen a game of football let alone played it professionally. If not Reilly, then Sean Evers is right up there.

Royston might win the title of biggest disappointment, but worst? Not even close.

I expect his sub-par performances were mostly a reflection of how the club treated him.
