Angry Shed Sex Spouting off about premiership ambitions again on GetReading.

....and in the Mirror His HRKness highlighted his hard work and determination to overcome the disappointment of being released from Arsenal as a 15 year old. The reporter failed to ask the obvious follow up question......

On BBC South just now (what a good feature for a change) the expectation was that this player would start in central midfield.
I do hope he isn't fit to play tomorrow (he's not fit to play most weeks) as it would then mean Jem in a busy midfield along with Williams and Chalobah who would get at Arsenal's midfield rather than stand by and admire them.
On the other hand I would be delighted if Kanu were man of the match and we won the game-he owes our club big time for all the opportunities that he has had and failed to deliver.

Dave-Royal WE LOVE YOU HRK remember he scored at Cardiff and Derby Great player he is

For those who love HRK, today must be the day of reckoning, assuming he plays. It's the perfect storm. Big stage (apparently that's where he excels), significant game (also when he suddenly comes to life) against his boyhood team who rejected him as a teenager and told him he's not good and strong enough. If he can't perform today, Clarke should drive him to Blackbushe in the morning and sell him for ballast.

I hope he plays a blinder and takes us to the final, but let's hand over to Hal and see how big a player he can be.

Yes, he did make that one successful 2 yard pass. Give that man a biscuit.

He made himself available to receive the throw, held off the challenge, waited for the run, and, yes, made the pass.
I actually winced at some of his other passing during the game, but can you honestly say we improved after he went off ?

Anyway, well done to the whole team.

Christ there are some blind/ignorant twats on here. Yes, he has had a lot of poor games but to claim he was poor tdoay is absolute b*llocks. Try taking the prejudiced blinkers off for once.

I thought Karacan provided something that HRK hadn't for the duration, yes.... an extra Reading body on the pitch; but anyway, I must move on from Hal bashing - there's too much else good from the day to remember.

You're having a laugh. He was absolutely shocking today.

Watch it again. Everthing broke down when it reached him.

PS I have no blinkers / prejudice against him - this might even be my first post on this thread. (Dunno, search doesn't work for me.)

He was great for about 10min after our goal. That. Was.It

Pushed off the ball, never won it, rarely closed anyone down and (certainly 1st half) unable to find his own player.

From the RFC site - JEM's MESSAGE: It's been a horrible couple of seasons personally but the ovation you gave me when I came on today will be with me forever!

(He doesn't realise, does he?)

The cheers were for Karacan.

There was no bad feeling from fans regarding Kanu today.

So, which of you HRK bashers was sitting next to me in Block 502 Row 18? He who shouted "F@@@ Off' when HRK was announced in the starting line up; and "go on Hal, F@@@ that one up again" almost every time he touched the ball; and even blamed HRK when others around him committed the cardinal sin of not being perfect?

At least you had the decency to shut up after I asked you to change the record, or maybe you simply realised that HRK was doing ok yesterday?

The HRK bashing from some is getting ridiculous. I thought he was very good yesterday - as were all the team. Ok he has not had the best of seasons but neither have many other players. Give the guy a break folks.

And I was there and everyone around me stood to give him a standing ovation yesterday - long before Jem Karacan was announced as replacement. The roar then was FOR Jem (after being out so long) NOT against HRK.
