I normally leave the poll going for a while and then vote yes or no after he's proved himself to be good or bad, then I can say I told you so and pretend anyone cares what I have to say

Do you rate Lucas Piazon?

Very good player for me. Has skill, vision, technique and a good footballing brain. It didn't entirely come off for him against Charlton and was outmuscled, a la boro, but he still popped up with the assist for the winning goal. He isn't a central midfielder, he needs to play in the hole or left forward. He's hardly the most physical players but his ability and skill will allow him time and space, and if not win us free kicks. Eye for goal as well.

He hasn't played that well but he's a good a player and I'm sure will prove to be a real asset to this team.

I like his speed and the way he runs at the defence. Puts the defenders back on their heels and he can punish them with a shot or a pass to a teammate.

Good player.

Not sure if he hasn't played well he can be described as a good player !
Forme he's shown little bursts but that's not what is required.
If he puts in a solid 90 minutes of effort and involvement to add to the moments of skill the he'll be a good player.
Otherwise he's not one of the best 11. But time will tell and I don't think we need to judge him this early.

Looks like a good player but needs to toughen up a bit.

Haven't seen him in a Reading shirt but it's interesting to note that virtually every negative critique of him on here this season matches those made by the Frankfurt fans I know over here.

They perserved with him in the first team for a while but ended up floating around the edge of the squad as the season went on. Whether history will repeat itself at a lower level, remains to be seen.

Thought he was generally the weak link on Charlton - didn't win any tackles and threw up his hands in despair a bit too often for my liking. But I'm willing to give him the benefit of the doubt and hope he comes good still ....

im sure he will turn into a fine player, but isn't one yet. that's why hes here

in the first 70 mins he showed nothing, in fact negative levels of achievement,
but his effort was much improved, even if his head did go down and got frustrated when things didn't work.
and he grew into the game as it went on, and I felt by the end he was really giving what he needs to to succeed, especially in this league.
the cross, 1 gr8 drive forward, and a couple of other bits show he can play.

if id been manager he'd have been off in the first half though

Yes I rate him. He looks lightweight, but he did a lot of good things on Saturday. Some of his runs on Saturday weren't helped by the runs others made off of him.

His performances have been as expected.

Jose M is no fool. He loaned Piazon out in the hope that a spell in the Championship would develop his toughness and physicality.

It's early doors to judge whether that will happen sufficiently.

Poorly worded poll. I've voted no because I don't rate him as good enough right now, as I've put in the Charlton thread. Think we have better options and we shouldn't be helping Chelsea out by playing him for the sake of it when it may be costing us. He shouldn't be anywhere near the three central mid spots right now.

Voted yes, but that doesn't mean he's playing particularly well at the moment or being used in the right role for him and the team.

It means I rate him as a good player who will improve in an appropriate position. It's pretty self explanatory.

You don't havd to play well all the time to be rated or good. It's not challenging Green.

Underwhelmed thus far. Off the three Chelsea loanees we've had since Clarke too over, only Ake has made the grade IMO. Chalobah took a fair while to get to grips with the Championship and his form petered out towards the end of his loan spell.

To be fair, I am also quite easily pushed off the ball.

Yes, absolutely. A player that is capable of doing something special to win a tight game, with a piece of brilliance. Exactly why I pay to watch professional football.
