LoyalRoyal1871 Statue outside the ground of Mr Mad is definitely in order and long overdue, might give the place a bit of character and history.

We should build one for Sir Steve as well while we're at it!

Should be one of them as they were at Leicester together celebrating promotion to the Premier League for the first time!

If there was any justice then the 25 th anniversary of SJM as Chairman of RFC would have had a full Mad Stad. What with it being a midweek fixture live on Sky and our club not having the best of spells at the moment the fates had other ideas. A man with the very best interests of our club at heart deserved better. Hopefully he knows that a majority of fans are hugely grateful for the time and effort he has given to the cause. (not to mention money). God bless. If only we had a manager with even 1 per cent of the commitment you have given in your time we would be happy. Goodbye Steve Clarke and Good riddance . Your idea of loyalty is beyond my comprehension.

It's a Job, just as it will be a job for the next manager who will no doubt abandon his current club to move to Berkshire.

Perhaps there would be more there if it wasn't so dear, how about tv games are reduced entrance,
Say £15 for adults 10 for concessions.

It's not all about money, it is feeling and being part of. The link with fans is being lost. JM has bucked the trend at Reading, and it worked. And it still can with vision.

I believe that given both the backing and trust to do what he wanted to do (sacking long servants both off and on the pitch). And in the transfer market (loans and permanent signings) he would surely not have been tempted to have any thing to do with another job offer should he have any responsibility for the people he both brought to the club and those he replaced.

No chance. Exeter charge £17 quid for a League 2 terrace.

I doubt your idea would have added many attendees, so would have actually cut revenue in all likelihood. Not

I get where you are coming from.
It has nothing to with what other clubs charge though, except possibly Bradford, who have offered low prices for a long time now.
And of course Exeter won't have the tv money to cover the cuts.

Season tickets are good value per game, but it is match day that is falling fast.
Like it or not that is very much down to price if a single person or a couple attending that get no concessions at all.

The team lost, but a very good night for SJM last night!
Name on the Stadium, his photograph on the front of the programme, and he took the opportunity to lead the teams out carrying the match ball! And all in front of the Sky cameras.
Could he perhaps be the most high profile Co Chairman in the League?

probably the reason 4 thousand season ticket holders didn't turn up last night was that Mr Ego was strutting himself again in front of the cameras. Yes he has done brilliantly for the club, and we would not be where we are today if it was not for him. etc.etc. But supporters get fed up with him ramming it down their throats!

Get over yourself, he did it against Leeds introducing the Thais and yesterday, he's not ramming his ego down our throats.

Disagree. I don't think he has an ego at all. I love the guy and really proud that he's a proven business man with links in the town not just to the football. He cemented "the reading way" and its clear just how much he cares.

If we're going to have a statue can we base it on this:
