Speculation - Le Fondre to return?

Probably reading too much into this but it wouldn't surprise me if we were in for him in the summer with McDermott back in charge.

Wouldn't be disappointed to have him back but wouldn't be particularly thrilled.

Thoughts?

I'd have him back in an instant. Anyone feeling otherwise is bonkers. Not all strikers have to do the ugly stuff and be a good all-rounder. To have a poacher and a goal-scorer like Alf in your side is an absolute blessing. He just needs the right strike partner and the service, and then he'll score goals all day long!

That said, it's been a long time since we actually had a striker partnership that had time to gel and get to know one another. Same for the whole team really. This team is crying out for some consistency!

2014– Cardiff City 21 (3)
2015 → Bolton Wanderers (loan) 17 (8)
2015– → Wolverhampton Wanderers (loan) 20 (3)

Not exactly inspiring since he left.

Scored a respectable amount of goals in a poor Bolton team last season

Would appear to fit in well with our current wasters though...

tee peg Never look back. :?

What exactly do people mean by this?

Should we bidding for Messi? I mean it shows ambition right? Or should we bid for any other players we have no hope of getting?

Le Fondre is more proven than anyone we've signed in recent history. Would take back in a heart beat.

I think its quite obvious what is meant by it who next a 50 year old Dave Kitson good enough for us or do we go back through our history to find more old players and staff .

So you're comparing a retired striker with one who is still playing in our league, for a club higher placed than us?

I like Alf a lot, but he never really forced himself to be first choice here. I know McDermott brought him in the first time, but I never got the feeling he rated Alf highly enough to try to bring him back.

I wouldn't want to spend much on him, but he'd be a decent signing. Could work well with Kermie potentially. Maybe Samuel.

He's pretty good to feet.

Rather early to be talking about the summer window and who we might sign though.

I've got to completely disagree with you here. He was itching to get into the starting lineup and hated the super sub tag in the Prem season.

I think this will definitely happen in the summer, and I'd be pleased to see it as well.

Never go back is nonsense anyway.

I challenge anyone to say that in the same sentence as Gylfi, Long, McCarthy or Feds.

Norfolk Royal Gylfi, Never, Long, Go, McCarthy, Back, or Feds.

I suppose I never quantified that it should be a legible sentence.

How about Jimmy Wheeler, Dennis Allen or Trevor Senior?

Behave!

The past is the past - you will start talking about Robin Friday again soon.

Gotta move forward :
Get rid of the pitch announcer or replace him with someone who wont cause such embarrassment .
Get players in that we have heard of or have a decent record in a decent league.
Stop conceding in the last few minutes of the game.
Tell Williams to look up occasionally (I still rate him though).
Learn to whip over a decent cross consistently (Chris!) and have someone there when it comes!!

Get the rub of the green occasionally (poor Vydra - the unluckiest player in the league).

Shoot!

Normally I would have been less than fussed about the keepers but they'd both be a considerable improvement over what we currently have.
