Tommio Scored a respectable amount of goals in a poor Bolton team last season
Almost a goal every other game, which is more than acceptable for a striker.

tidus_mi2 Normally I would have been less than fussed about the keepers but they'd both be a considerable improvement over what we currently have.

Really? AM would be acceptable, Feds no where near an improvement.

LWJ 2014– Cardiff City 21 (3)
2015 → Bolton Wanderers (loan) 17 (8)
2015– → Wolverhampton Wanderers (loan) 20 (3)

Not exactly inspiring since he left.

He wasn't that inspiring when he was with us  just lucky like McDonut

Would be pretty accurate, that said, I'm still going back and correcting my post.

I would have Alfie back in a heartbeat.

He is proven at this level, he is a poacher and they are not cheap. We won't spend £4-5m on a striker to get us goals so it'd be a no brainer if we could get him for £1m.

He wasnt the best when he started I was gutted when he left.

Ian Royal I like Alf a lot, but he never really forced himself to be first choice here. I know McDermott brought him in the first time, but I never got the feeling he rated Alf highly enough to try to bring him back.

I've got to completely disagree with you here. He was itching to get into the starting lineup and hated the super sub tag in the Prem season.

I think this will definitely happen in the summer, and I'd be pleased to see it as well.

Whether he liked it is irrelevant. He wasn't consistently a first XI player, particularly under McDermott. That's just a fact.

I wouldn't be averse to seeing Alf return. As long as the money was right (up to 500k maybe, hopefully less) and his wages reflected the fact he would be employed largely as an impact sub.

It easy to forget that, even in our championship winning season, he was relegated to the bench once we signed Roberts.

In a way I feel kind of sorry for him. He is such a talented goal poacher in a football world that no longer really has much room for that skill set on its own. You just can't carry a player for 90 minutes hoping he will latch onto anything loose in the box. 30 years ago he would have been a big star I am sure.

I know how to google, so I found it:

http://www.skysports.com/football/transfer-paper-talk

Reading boss Brian McDermott wants a reunion with Madejski Stadium favourite Adam Le Fondre.

Probably just paper talk. He's out of favour and we need a striker, and it worked well last time so the papers have put 2+2 together.

I'd love him back, mind.

The paper rumor probably came from reading this thread and/or from Charlie Watts asking the question to Brian as a result of us speculating about it, thing is the transfer might actually happen if Le Fondre or his agent read it and are thinking about it. Maybe we should start a Lionel Messi rumour as well?

Paper talk it may be but it's worth reading.

I have read somewhere that he is actually out of contract this summer may be the Tilehurst end. Which means this would cost nothing. so this is a no brainer really. If he wants to come it would be stupid not to from our point of view he would be 29 when he signed back so a 2 year contract and see how it goes.......

No thanks, think he liked it here. And did us a favour going as it kept us going financially.
Pretty sure he will find a championship club that will give him a 3 year deal .

Nope, it was a three year deal, so it'll expire summer '17
