It's Saturday again and next up a visit to bogey team Wigan Athletic, just what we need ahead of a 2 week break.
Reading seem to have a knack of storing up their most inept performances and producing them in spades when Wigan pop up on the fixture list.
While Wigan have been struggling in the league it doesn't seem to make any difference to the outcome as they've been struggling in the league in nearly all of the most recent league games we've played them in yet we haven't registered a win in any them.
To cap it all, today we really won't know what to expect from them and they're all going to be up for impressing their new manager, Warren Joyce, who was only appointed a couple of days ago. Deep joy.
Wigan will welcome back on loan striker Adam Le Fondre (who?) after he missed their win at his parent club Cardiff last week. Max Power also returns but Nick Powell, Donervon Daniels, Reece James, Andy Kellett and Alex Gilbey are all missing through injury.
No suspensions for the Royals but Williams, van den Berg and Moore are all one card away from avoiding an appearance against Burton (presuming here that Wednesday night's 7.30pm kick off at the Mad Stad against Yeovil in the EFL Checkacrowd Trophy doesn't register as a game on the disciplinary chart).
Rakels, Mendes, Jaakkola and Quinn are all still crocked but at least there are no new injuries to worry about so I would expect an unchanged team from last weeks starting XI : Habsi, Gunter, Berg, Blackett, Moore, McShane, McCleary, Beerens, Swift, Kermorgant, Williams
Refereeing this one will be Nottinghamshire's David Coote

Record against Wigan is pretty poor generally, we are long overdue some decent results against them with the current run of 0 wins in 7 games (2 draws, 5 defeats) being the worst run we've been on with them.
Reading have made the trip to Wigan in the league 20 times previously and have lost on 11 occasions with only 2 wins to show for it. Full record is...
