Leeds (a)

by Hendo » 28 Nov 2016 11:11

Ticket prices:

Prices
Adult: £36
65 & Over: £24
16-22: £24
11-15: £16
10 & Under: £8

Allocation
Our initial allocation for this fixture is 605.

Disabled Allocation
Ambulant Disabled x 12 pairs – 16 & above £24, 11-15 £16, 10 & Under £8 (helper free of charge)
Wheelchair Disabled x 12 pairs – 16 & above £24, 11-15 £16, 10 & Under £8 (helper free of charge)

Was thinking of going to this one, as I have the week off work, but £36 can seriously do one. £30 or below and I would've been in for this one.

Blackburn @ £22 looks far more appealing.

Glad I just fall in to the 18-22 category. How can clubs get away with charging that much for a championship match - especially when we will only charge their fans 20.

I know, its absolutely disgraceful that charge that amount. Its just a rip-off.

They would probably get the same money if they dropped the ticket prices to encourage more fans to turn out. We might sell 200 tickets for this. If adults were say £20, we could easily shift double that I think.

Leeds can oxf*rd off, their fans actually pay that price every home game, crazy. Here we are charging £20 for away tickets and so far only Cardiff have reciprocated, I think another team said they would as well, was it Villa?

Fully agree, factor in;

-It's a northern mid week game
-There's a second, much cheaper away game the following weekend
-Close to Christmas
-You have to spend your spare time in Leeds

200 might be a struggle

To emphasise the point even further, mate of mine is a Leeds STH who has a son and daughter roughly the same age as my 2 sons. It would cost him £35 for all 3 of them to attend the reverse fixture at the MS in April, £1 LESS than it will cost just for me to go to the game.

100% out

In fairness to my mate, he cannot stand their pricing policy either as it is the same the home fans and is a real deterrent to walk ups / the causal 3-4 games a season fans.

£36 is out of order to and there should be a ticket price cap in the championship of £25 for away fans

I don't do as many away games as I use to. Definitely OUT

IN. It's just down the road (well 30 miles) and already committed to going with a Leeds supporting mate. Will get my ticket tomorrow.

Despite it being one of the closest games to me up here, I'm not paying £36!! That is ridiculous....even though petrol would be much less for me than most Royals....still bloody ridiculous!

Stockport Royal -You have to spend your spare time in Leeds

Surely that's a pro? Leeds is a great town and a cracking night out - which unfortunately is fairly irrelevant what with it being midweek.

Just have a rest, find the general direction of Leeds and give it the 2 finger salute.

I did this as well LWJ. Took the Tuesday & Wednesday off for this, just going to spend the days at home chilling out now, maybe a waste of AL but I am not going to be using it at any other point!

I think I will decide dependant on how results go till then.

I hate to give these clubs the money, but then hate the fact we pull such poor away attendances up north so feel like I should make the effort.

I do agree with you, it is a bit of a catch 22 situation.

But as I said earlier, I know that I would be more willing to shell out 20 notes for a ticket like this one, and I suspect there would be a lot more people that would feel that same. Especially at this time of year, for a mid-week game you can see why people are put off at £36, that shouldn't be a slight at our fans, it should be a slight at the clubs charging the price. If they reduced the ticket prices for this to £20, I think you would easily get double the amount of people going.

Out. I'll spend my money at a more deserving Championship club. Only losers are Leeds. Insane pricing policy.
