No Fixed Abode One for Stranded. Seeing as there is no segregation in the Bundesliga and opposition fans sit next to each other holding hands.

Football hooliganism is nothing new in Germany, but when violence broke out before a Bundesliga match between two of the top clubs, this was something different.
The stones and bottles thrown and the hate banners displayed by Borussia Dortmund supporters on Saturday exposed a widespread loathing in Germany for a team seen as upstarts, RB Leipzig.

When you look back it is suprising that there wasn't the same type of reaction here when our own upstarts came to the fore with Abramovich taking over.
The loathing was there and probably still is.

It's only money. Much worse things happen in football like wearing t-shirts in support of a racist during a warm up.

France

8 left to play, Monaco 3 points clear with a +61 GD ( ). Fairly kind fixtures left for them. Nice looking good to grab 3rd spot right now but still have PSG to play and they play away to Lyon (currently 4th) on the last day of the season. could essentially be a play off for a CL spot!

Interesting story in Serie B. SPAL 2013 who were promoted to the division last season are in 2nd place right now which is an automatic promotion spot. They are a merger of 2 small teams, the main one being in the Amateur leagues 5 seasons ago

Bottom of the Bundesliga has Hamburg in the relegation play off spot but above them are 4 teams all joint 2 points ahead, others only just ahead of that too. A win for Hamburg soon would really shake things up down there.

Benfica Vs Porto this weekend coming. The league is a 2 horse race between them, 1 point currently separates them.

Hamburg are the form team down there at the moment - taken 14pts from last 7 games - only defeat was their now annual thrashing at Bayern, just 8-0 this year.

Would be surprised if they don't pull away. They do have a feel of the Villa's about them though. Big club living on past glories that have flirted with relegation a lot over the past couple of years - surviving via the play-off twice (once on away goals and once AET). They don't seem to be able to pull out of the cycle for more than a season (10th last year), so you feel they will go down at some point.

Watched Ajax absolutely destroy Schalke 2-0 in the Europa. Should have been five or six. Wingers Younes and 17-year old Justin Kluivert - son of Patrick - were absolutely brilliant. United would do well to avoid them in the semis if both make it.

Slight surreal coverage of St Etienne v Rennes on BT Sport, with the match being played behind closed doors. The game got delayed by 15 minutes after some fans in the car park managed to break in, and occupy a corner of the ground for a while.

It still has more atmosphere than a summer youth tournament covered by Eurosport though.
