CountryRoyal
No Fixed Abode Barcelona has reportedly bit £72m for Coutinho.

Such a talented player should go to a big club to win some major trophies. Would be such a waste otherwise.

Guess that rules out a move to Stamford Bridge.

Agreed. Because Chelsea weren't in for him. Thanks for st8ing the obvious.

St8ing the obvious would be to elaborate that the insinuation in my post was that Chelsea is a small club, but you knew that m8.

Just looks like Cortina mk2s stock has just inflated. A great assist and scored a great goal. He's on his way to Barca for sure.

No you're right, it was poor from me. I just wanted to remind you Chelsea isn't a big club, just incase you forgot, because I'm nice like that.

We've always been a relatively big club m8. Big crowds between 40k and 50k around the 1950's. Then a huge decline, specifically in the 80s, but we're a big club again now. I hope this puts you're mind at rest m8.

Danilo to City for €35M

Suggestions that this now totals £310M spending for City on defence & goalkeepers in the past 3 years

Although I feel like there are so few people that actually know the true cost of a transfer (plus all the variables that can change the cost as it goes) that the above figures may as well have been plucked from thin air

I liked Monaco's reasoning behind the fee. Mendy is better than Walker so they'll have to pay more than £40m.

That is some spending by City. They'll HAVE to win something this year, otherwise Pep could be out on his ear....big pressure.

Pep to be gone by Christmas. Biggest fraud since Adkins.

You or I could have wone titles with the team he had at Barcelona, it was already built for him. Bayern are always going to be favorites in Germany. This is the first time he's had real competition and he's falling dreadfully short and just throwing money at it.

Weird, isn't it. You would've thought Leicester's success shows you don't have to throw silly sums around to win trophies, and that it's about building a team with intelligence over time.

Same with Tottenham. Excellent side with a strong philosophy built over a few seasons, I think it's a matter of time until they win something. And they don't pay anyone over £100k a week, transfer record - £30m.

I will laugh at Walker not playing much next season though.

Danilo and Mendy will be his preferred full backs.

As if they've spent £122 million on 3 fullbacks in the space of a week and a half

Can't wait til they bottle it.

Danilo can play across the back 4 and in midfield. Wouldn't be surprised at all if he played as a holding midfielder for City and then drops back to full back so midfield subs change it up a bit.

West Ham confirm Hernandez signing for £16m. In this market that is a fcuking bargain.

Oof. Amidst some to-ing and fro-ing between club and player, Liverpool target Naby Keita took out a Leipzig team-mate with a brutal scissor tackle in training. That's one way to let them know you want out!

Great bit of business. He's easily as good as some of the strikers at top clubs and better than most of their second striker.

I.e. Jansson, Rashford, Batshuyi, whoever Everton have, Jesus..
