genome Fifa has rejected Leicester's application to register Adrien Silva after they missed the deadline by 14 secs.

I know you have to draw the line somewhere but surely there should be some flexibility and common sense over 14 seconds

Not sure what the fuss is - they missed the deadline, it's not like it came out the blue they knew when it was.

PL clubs vote to shut the transfer window (sorry Jim white, slam the window shut) before the start of the season. I'd like the EFL to follow suit and other leagues too tbf

EFL apparently agree in principle to shut the window for permanent transfers prior to the season but loan signings can continue up until the end of August.

Seems like a sensible compromise, could be abused I guess as a player could just join a club on loan and sign permanently during the next window.

Yes, although we've already seen that with Mbappe under the current system.

Which is still a deal I'm struggling to understand. Monaco have essentially done their biggest rival a favour - they could have insisted on Mbappe staying with them for 17/18, surely?

Money talks though and I image PSG paid a bit extra for the privilege of getting him this year.

It does seem daft selling him to your main domestic rival when the other power houses must've shown an interest.

Interesting move. Can't see why they'd want him when they've got Loftus-Cheek.

Could be the kind of move that will make or break Barkley though. Either way I'm sure it'll make his bank account!

Yerri Mina joining Barca for €12M as Mascherano's replacement apparently.

Hope Turan gets a move. He was my favourite player in La Liga during his last season with Atletico, absolute beast, now he can hardly get a game.

Multiple reports that Liverpool have agreed to sell Coutinho to Barca for £105M basic plus £37M in add ons.

They know they cant win the league this season. They probably won't win FA cup or CL.

They can use it for a solid keeper, another CB and they are getting Keita next year.

Good move i say

Apparently in addition to the £15m transfer fee, Barkley's agent got £7m.
I'm guessing that the mayor is alleging that the transfer falling through in the summer (Barkley 'changed his mind' at the last minute) was a ruse by which to benefit Chelsea and the agent.

If reports are correct and Arsenal are set to get money + Henrikh Mkhitaryan, that should be the deal they accept.

Hadn't actually read that - Mkhitaryan + cash for a player who doesn't want to be there and can leave for free in six months? No brainer.
