Warfield ED Stand
Hoop Blah Highmoor vs Bracknell was abandoned last night with Bracknell saying it was nothing to do with any of their players.

Sounds like Highmoor might've been living up to their poor reputation.

I was told by someone who was there that a Highmoor player was sent off and then went mental and went for the ref.
Standard Highmoor. Shambolic club. Think we got them in the league next week too :D

Their reserve team have been very close to being kicked out of the Reading League over the last few years and the first team aren't much better, especially considering the level they're playing at where discipline and organisation is much more a factor.

HeinzGuderian Anyone done Hungerford before? Thinking if it tomorrow.

...go regularly (usually on a Monday night) - like the ground - decent grub - beers relatively OK - bar is large but still gets a bit cramped, depending on how many opposition fans attend. Doubt if Havant & W. will bring all that many today.

... parking can be a bit tricky if it's larger crowd but you can usually find a space on the estate around the Bulpit lane area - that's if the clubs' and Memorial ground car parks are full on arrival - which they often are.

I usually find a spot past the ground further along Park Way/Coldharbour - but it's not that far a stroll from the station.

Enjoy - not seen them since Bobby W left - he often provided an 'oomph factor' with his changes off the bench - be interesting if they still have that in them now he's skipped off.

Another super win for Windsor, 2-1 v Woodley Utd.

Cracking goal early in the 1st half from Barry Hayles, then Woodley equalised early in the 2nd half swiftly followed by a red card for Windsor.

Good game management under the inevitable cosh then a 90th minute pen for Windsor despatched with aplomb and the fans go wild....

7 teenagers involved including 3 Local 17 yo lads on at the end.

Great stuff, 8 wins on the bounce!

I went to see Burnham get beaten 7-0 by Bracknell. A lot of new players again for Burnham, I don’t actually think they played that poorly! Final ball for Bracknell was excellent.

Went to see Lye Town v Stourport. Lye's ground is "rustic", but I quite liked it.

Cup competitions go by various names, be they cups, trophies, vases, shields etc, but reading the Lye programme I saw a first, seeing that Lye compete in the "Worcestershire Senior Urn"

Hitchin Town 3-1 Weymouth – Terras continue to stutter - five straight wins now followed by four consecutive defeats - including two cup games.
King's Lynn Town 0-1 Chesham United - good result for the Generals at the Linnets who were joint top at the start of play.
Kings Langley 1-1 Basingstoke Town – Wright pen on 90’ gets a point for the visiting 'Dragons'.
SL1E

SL1W
Cinderford Town 2-2 Winchester City

Cove 2-5 Farleigh Rovers
Eversley & California 3-0 Sheerwater - ‘Boars’ thump rivals ‘Sheers’ to go 2nd behind Worcs Pk– who would be ruled out of promotion as they have no lights
Fleet Spurs 0-6 {SIX} Cobham
Frimley Green 2-1 Kensington Borough
Raynes Park Vale 4-3 Chessington & Hook United
Staines Lammas 1-1 FC Deportivo Galicia
Worcester Park 4-0 Bagshot

Windsor 2-1 Woodley United
FRI Binfield 1-1 Flackwell Heath
- Top four all win
HELL1E

AFC Aldermaston 3-5 Sandhurst Town
Bicester Town 2-0 Penn & Tylers Green - rare defeat for P&TG – first in the league this season at the current leaders - by a quirk of the league's allocation of Div One clubs, both East and West sections are led by the two clubs sharing Ardley's Fritwell Road ground.
Chalfont Wasps 2-1 Milton United
Chinnor
2-3 Holyport
Thame Rangers 0-2 Wallingford Town AFC
Wokingham & Emmbrook
2-3 Virginia Water
HELL1W
Letcombe 5-2 Woodstock Town - villagers up to 3rd - but have a tough trip to 100% leaders Ardley this Tue evening

WESSP
Baffins Milton Rovers 1-4 Andover Town - Town's lead at the top increases as 2nd placed Blackfield & Langley slip up at home to last season's league winners Portland. Andover have only dropped two points this term.
Newport (IoW) 0-1 Alresford Town
Petersfield Town 0-5 Bemerton Heath Harlequins
WESS1
Alton 3-2 Tadley Calleva
Folland Sports 3-7 {SEVEN} Andover New Street – ANS show no signs of falling back into their old ways of being perennial whipping boys; keeping up a string of great results this season. These three points take them beyond their TOTAL points for last season. Would appear that East Cowes Vics have no intention of keeping the same mantle either – following up their surprise big win over the previous leaders Laverstock, with a 5-1 humbling of Ringwood.

Romsey Town 4-1 Whitchurch United - sadly the Jam Boys downward trend continues.

--- wended our way down West - the M5 problems earlier that morning had subsided, so we got to our destination in good time.
WESTERN Div One Cheddar 1-0 Almondsbury
Game was pretty stale however, with the lower placed 'Almonds' having much the better of the play but unable to make a mark. So scant drama at the so-called 'Theatre of Cheese' - the only other point to note - keeping up the punning theme was their local Cheddar Ale was labelled 'Gorge Best'.

Fairford Town 1 - 3 Wantage Town.

What a charming little venue.

Attendance was about 50, plus about 15 dogs. They all seemed happy.

Best football ground food I think i've ever come across.

Home team currently bottom, not very good, but not for want of trying. Hope they turn things around.

1/4 pounder with cheese only £2.75. Cooked to order. Full salad with a selection of about 8 sauces from proper dispensers.
They lay out a menu on the tables and seem to have something for everyone. Take your pick!

I am supposed to hate them but am watching Slough’s progress with interest.

They might be levels above Windsor but when they beat us 6-0 in a PSF I was hugely impressed and predicted they would get promoted. They just played some great football.

Saturday’s 6-0 win at Gainsborough Trinity from the level above was an astonishing result which apparently raised a round of applause from the defeated supporters when Slough’s players came into the bar after the game.

In Matt Lench they have a star in the making.

What happened in the first game? Was it a league game?

Cup game. Abandoned with 10 mins to go. Highmoor had bloke sent off who then went a bit mental and they surrounded the ref. So he called it off.

Strong chance of it being televised as they normally like a Non-League vs League fixture, should find out on Friday. Would fancy Slough and the AFC Fylde vs Wigan game, plus one other.

Capacity is something like 1,950 or 2,000, and with average crowds this season about 650 (and Rochdale likely to bring a few hundred) you'll have a decent chance of getting in I expect. Hop on board...

Sounds ideal. And with Reading up in the wilds of Sunderland that weekend a 3pm on Saturday would still be a good fit....
