Bedford Town was the last ground I heard explicit racist abuse directed at players from a wide range of supporters, back in 2000

Four Of Clubs Round-up of today's 'local' NL:-

Winchester City[/b] 2-3 Bideford - City trailed twice - levelled with about 10' left but conceded again within 5'.

and we missed a pen.

Frustrating game, compounded by the fact that I had to drive so couldn't even have a beer, and I missed the win over S*****n Supermarine mid week. Frustrating sums up our whole season - we are close to being a decent side, but just can't get it right sometimes. Still 7th, but with the league re-organisation this is the best chance we will get for years to go up.

But with crowds around 150, is there much point?

The talk on our board is around Pat Cox, a striker who we are rumoured to be paying a lot for. The cognescenti reckon he does a lot of good work, holding the ball up etc, but he isn't scoring goals. 4 of his 12 were in the Hampshire Senior Cup against inferior opposition. God help us if Oli Bailey gets injured.

Simba Mlambo is back from injury which is a big plus, but Dan Williamson went off injured, which is a bugger and apparently we have a lot of injuries for the trip to North Leigh tomorrow.

AthleticoSpizz crackin’ result for Brackley there against the “big-news” boys

They’re having a great season

Agree re: Bedford comments.....most featureless and charmless place

Fantastic win for Brackley. Wish I'd gone
Looks like Salford will walk the League though

And harsh comments on Bedford. It's very nice down by the river

It took a 90+4 minute winner from the penalty spot for Highworth though, and Nomads had a player sent off in the 72nd minute too. They played a couple of weeks ago and Highworth stuffed them 7-0.

Looks like the future of Windsor Fc is up in the air at current level. I suspect the crown estate win this battle.

Strictly speaking without a lease the future has always been up in the air.

This is just another attempt to move things forward, but we are dealing with a bunch of arrogant cnuts who believe they are above all of this nonsense and have never engaged on any level other than treating the football club as if it were shit on their shoes - and as you can imagine, that is not easy.

Her Majesty holds a grudge from that money HMRC missed out on clearly.

For the crown estate this amount of cash at stake really isnt a pressing issue.

I do find it interesting and unusual for the Observer the way the article is written.

The writer seems to be stating as fact that the Crown Estates have reneged on the deal as if he is aware of the facts, i.e. not saying “Kevin Stott says that....”

1-0 Win for Burnham today. The game was evenly matched and Burnham nicked it at the end. Burnham subbed their keeper at half time due to his inability to kick. The management don’t seem to be endearing themselves to some (signed on) players in favour of some ringers (confirmed to me by management). Maybe I’m being a bit naive but the management team don’t seem to do things entirely the correct way.

Has anyone heard rumours about money disappearing with previous managers?

Yes. No further comment on that.

I’ve seen Burnham twice since Paris took charge (Windsor beat them on both occasions) and have been distinctly unimpressed with him and his assistants. Constantly bawling at the players and officials and the way they berated an 18yo making his debut against an ex Premier League striker in Barry Hayles was outrageous - I commented on it here at the time.

I have also heard that players are not happy.

Cheers RR! I won’t mention it again!
I spoke to a couple of players and some are definitely not happy with things. Players are turning up to training (sometimes only seven there) and then being left out for ringers. As an interesting fact or maybe not so interesting fact both Burnham keepers were making their debuts today.

2-0 win for Winchester City over Evesham United today. Scrappy first half, with two evenly matched teams cancelling each other out. One shot on target.

2nd half was altogether different. Winch made 2 substitutions 15 ish mins into the second half, and both went on to score, including our 17 yr old big hope, IK Hill. Oli Bailey got clattered and went off , and Evesham were lucky to finish with 11 men.

Decent crowd too (171) - good turn out from Evesham's travelling fans.

Blimey, we saw 2 different keepers in the 2 games which were only very recent.

The 1st keeper we saw had a bit of banter with us lot behind his goal and our thoughts after the game was that he didn’t try too hard to disguise the impression that he might not be buying into the regime.

Walton & Hersham 1-2 Windsor

Unbelievable.

Superb game. W&H had much the better of the 1st half, calling our keeper to make 3 excellent saves, and defenders to make 2 goal line clearances and another last ditch tackle / block.

We came out with much more intent in the 2nd half and although still under the cosh at times, were shading it until we went 1 down with about 15 Minutes left.

Substitutions and a change of formation and we started to pour on the pressure and after 87 mins got just rewards when a header looped over the keeper, hit the top of the cross bar, almost bounced on it a 2nd time, but was nodded home on the line by teenage midfielder Bradley Pearce.

Windsor had the momentum and created several more chances although W&H still had a chance to win as the game was fully stretched. Then in the 95th minute with virtually the last kick of the game Pearce got his 2nd with a cracking strike at the near post.

Cue memorable celebrations - best fun at a Windsor game for many years.

HELLP
Abingdon United 6-1 Royal Wootton Bassett Town – RWBT's own site bemoans their Jekyll & Hyde nature this season – seemingly when they lose; they lose big-time 30 goals conceded in their 8 league defeats so far.
– all more puzzling following a 7-3 romping win in midweek over Binfield. Yesterday may have been down to absences up front, causing them to adopt a different formation but they evidently couldn't/didn’t adapt up against a lower mid-table opponent.

Ascot United 4-0 Brimscombe & Thrupp - didn’t see this one coming either; Yellamen had only gained 1 point in their previous 7 league games. B&T were 6th albeit quite a way behind the leading pack.

Binfield 3-2 Longlevens
Burnham 1-0 Lydney Town
Fairford Town 3-1 Highmoor Ibis - H/I stay bottom and stuck in quite a rut, especially with their two closest rivals picking up rare wins. They welcome an in-form Ab. Utd to Scours/Rivermoor on Monday evening

Crazy that Abdulai Bell-Baggie has dropped so far down the league's. He was seen as somewhat as a golden boy in the academy at Reading when he was there.
