Jaakkola, Beerens, Clement and McCleary start, with @samtsmith_ back from injury and among the subs.

Reading: Jaakkola, Gunter (c), Moore, Ilori, Bacuna, Beerens, Clement, Edwards, McCleary, Kermorgant, Bodvarsson.

Subs: Mannone, Evans, Aluko, Barrow, Blackett, Kelly, Smith.

Bizarre team

Back 4, Edwards then 5 attackers basically

McCleary, Beerens, Edwards, Clement, Bod and Yann all starting

Not sure how this will go. Or what formation we are going with

Is Stam well?

Starting with 2 strikers - ok we all know Kermorgant will actually be playing right back or something but there are actually going to be 2 strikers starting the game for Reading for the first time in about 18 months

I don’t think anyone has been linked with Moore for about 2 months now. Pretty sure he is staying put

So, bets on Yann actually playing central midfield with Clement and Edwards?

Once again, Stam picks a team no one can really work out who is playing where with any certainty.

Fecking hell

Yet another club who feels the need to remark about how unremarkable we are...

If only they realised everyone outside that rusting dump Hillsborough thinks the same about them.

Tbh I can ser him playing that role to some good effect. I mean, his days as a striker are numbered clearly, he has no legs to do speedy running so stick him in the centre circle as a CDM

Is the team really that difficult to work out? Seems like some would criticise Stam whichever players he chose.

Looks like a basic 4-4-2, GMac and Beerens on the wings with Bod and Yann upfront.

I take it all back if it's not :?

Stam doesn’t play 4-4-2 which is why it was hard to work out

According to Low it’s 3-5-2

Gunter Moore and Ilori at the back, GMac and Beerens wing backs
