£22m plus addons for Norwich’s Maddison

Seriously, how completely chuffing mental are Leicester and Southampton?

Guess that means everyone in the Championship will be asking even more ridiculous sums for their players and what’s even more ridiculous is that clubs will pay it.

Winston Biscuit A lot of talk that Real Madrid are close to signing 17 year old Brazilian Rodrygo Goes from Santos for about €40M. He has only started 9 league games for them.

Deal done. Reportedly at a total of €54M

Santos receive €20m now and another €20m in installments. Rodrygo gets €5m personally (he gave up another €5m for the transfer to go through). The last €9m are taxes.

There are no future clauses in the deal where Santos receive extra money.

He moves to Spain in June 2019

Maddison is well worth that sort of fee. He was excellent when Norwich played us at the Madejski, went from strength to strength as the season went on in a really poor side. He will go a long way in the game I reckon.

Don't think I've seen mention of it elsewhere, but Wilshire is now a free agent and will be looking for a new club.

I'm not sure where I think he should go. A mid-table team like West Ham or Everton to stand more chance of playing every week or a top 4 club like Liverpool or United to play at the highest level to prove himself all over again.

OMA provided a perfect summary a few pages back... ;)

Uke Wilshere to West Ham?
So Jack Wilshere has reportedly rejected a new 3 year deal at Arsenal. He’s also removed Arsenal from his insta and twitter bio and follows West Ham on Twitter...

Excellent move. We can now have both him and Mark Noble moaning together about not getting a chance for England.

Peanuts for a player of his ability. Would have liked to have seen him playing over here, would have done wonders for Arsenal.

Not entirely convinced with Cardiff's transfer business... Alex Smithies and Bobby Reid are hardly going to set the Premier League alight... we'll see what they have in store though

Perhaps Warnock thinks they'll be useful in the Championship in 19/20!
