Last night I had dream Ainsworth became our manager.

I also dreamt that I was stuck in the same hotel as my ex so might be a bad omen.

Once had a dream that Madejski sacked Coppell when we were 3-0 down at half-time, instantly appointed Chris Coleman, and we won 4-3.

Once had a dream that Anton had replaced Nigel Adkins with Angela Lansbury.

Safe to say that if I dream we've appointed Ainsworth then that guarantees it won't happen.

Clutching at straws. Seen so many inept performances in the past 12 months. That only way forward is to rebuild for the future.

That's what Clement was doing, with an eye to the present.

Summer transfer business on reflection was extremely poor. Without a resurgent Meite where would we be now.

I disagree.

Like it or not Parky might well be the perfect manager for Reading in their current situation and if he doesn’t keep the club up then is there anyone else with a better fit for understanding the lower divisions and getting promotion out of them?

If nothing else he should instil fight into performances and build a strong base for the manager to follow him which is a hell of lot better that what there is at the club currently (not to mention helping put a real spanner into Bolton’s survival plans).

If he takes us down then he will be sacked, not sure why you think the owners will accept that sort of failure. The players we have are good enough to at least get out of relegation trouble and we need a manager who can get the best from average players and that's not Phil Parkinson.

Because the club needs stability and NH should realise that more than anything. Also any appointment made with the club in its current position has to be made with the realisation that relegation is a very real possibility for whoever takes over so thought should be given and discussed at the time of appointment with the new manager so that both sides will have an understanding and not act rashly in that eventuality.

Crazy , Parky now over 2/1 , Gomes 5/4 with Paddy Power yet 8/1 with Bet Victor !

Probably proves nobody has a clue

Or, Parky comes in, we then look worse, and he tarnishes his image, while Bolton then get in a better manager and go on a run. Leon called it.

200 matches over a 13 year career in mostly absolute pish leagues doesn’t inspire much confidence to me. Hardly screams “I’m the man to galvanise a bunch of underperforming overpaid dross from the second division of a country I’ve never managed in before”.

Strong pass from me.

Yep. He's had about 20 different clubs, hasn't been at any of them for longer than two years, and has won fcuk all.

The club just doesn't look competent, professional and effective, especially when it is crying out for back to basics philosophy on and off the pitch!
