We would need around 1.98 points per game to meet the average 60 points for a top half finish. I'm happy to just avoid relegation for now. Still not convinced by anything, Saturday will be big test.

2,500/1 to be promoted with Bet365 :D

They don't offer top half as a market though.

and if we managed that, we'd be huge favourites to win the PO's

What would it need? About 2.5 ppg?

wigan bests odds of finishing top half is 14/1 they are only 6 points ahead of us, the disparity between them and us @200/1 yesterday was madness.

Millwall @ 12/1 who are only 5 points ahead of us too

Glad I got in when I did the best odds for us have now tumbled to 125/1

Prob need 50 points from the last 57 to stand a chance, so even Gomes' biggest fan can write that off

As a rough guide:

Top 6: 2.65 PPG (73 Pts) W16 D2 L1
Top Half: 1.94 PPG (based on 60 pts) W11 D4 L4
Likely safety: 1.42 PPG (to get to 50 pts) W7 D6 L6

Thanks Stranded

The top 6-10 are quite competitive, and they might grind out lots of draws.

Perhaps 70/71 might make 6th?

What's the lowest total to make 6th place?

Looks like the league is tougher this year...

If we're going by last season 73pts wouldn't have been enough to get into the playoffs, Derby in 6th are on course for getting 73.2pts. So, if we're gonna get 74pts, we need to beat Brian McDermott's run and get 17 wins (Or W16-D3-L0) from the last 19 games.

To get top half, last season we would've needed 61pts, Villa in 12th are on course for 64.7pts. So to hit 65pts, we need 42pts (W12-6-0 / W13-D3-L3 / W14-0-5). Certainly possible.
