I think Bolton are so bad that we will win up there quite easily.

Are you possibly suggesting that Dean Smith might go in the next week or so...?

Old Man Andrews Bolton (a) - W
Villa (H) - W
Weds (a) - W
Blackburn (H) - W
Sheff Utd (a) - D
Rotherham (H) - W
Ipswich (a) - W
Wigan (H) - W

And no I am not joking.

I thought similar, but maybe a loss at Sheffield Utd

But chose not to post it.

I think Bolton away is GIGANTIC. Win there and I fancy a big, big run,
LOSE and I would think the opposite could happen.

yep Bolton is massive. Be very very concerned if we lose that, esp if Rotherham pick up points at the weekend

Given our best unbeaten league run this season is (3 games) two draws in a row plus a win and we haven't had back to back wins in the league, I can't see a big run coming.

You're aware that form can and does change right?

Yes, but this has been the pattern the last two seasons. I can't see a dramatically huge turnaround.

It means we're definitely due one.

Welcome to the forum, Duffy. Sounds like you've been a fan for a while, yet only just discovered HNA?

Anyway, what's happened the last couple seasons is not really predictive of what may happen on the field in the next 8 games, imo.

Bolton v WBA on the telly tonight so let's hope they both lose and get a red card or something to help our case along. One thing you can be sure of though is that will be fighting for everything.

Won't a red card just see them miss the FA Cup game unless it is for violent conduct?

Thanks Denver.

It's a better barometer than anything else we have to go on.

Yes but a straight red is always possible, plus any players on 9 bookings will be worth watching out for....

Perhaps.

If you add the 44 points we gained last season and add our projected points of 38 this season (82 points), that still wouldn't have been enough for automatic promotion last season, we would still be 8 points short......Just goes to show how dire we've been.

Villa (H) - W
Weds (a) - W
Blackburn (H) - W
Sheff Utd (a) - W
Rotherham (H) - W
Ipswich (a) - W
Wigan (H) - W

Would leave us on 47, then win all our remaining games to cement our playoff position on 77 points.

When we play Bolton next week it will be their third game in eight days whilst we should be fresh. There can be no excuses. We need to start fast in that game. Again no excuses. They should be raring to go.

Too much emphasis is being placed on the next eight games. There will still be plenty of points to play for thereafter. I suspect we will have a mixed bag of results and pick up around 11/12 points which might just about see us edge ahead of Rotherham.
