It’s a rearranged Saturday fixture so not scheduled for midweek red button.

Do they though?

I mean granted there’s more appeal than Reading and Bolton, but not a lot.

Both teams have bigger fanbases than either Bolton or Reading plus both of those teams are at the right end of the table. Bolton have to agree to the match being shown on the red button and is that going to happen whilst protesters are throwing things on to the pitch in protest of the owner? Probably not.

Bolton should consider themselves lucky given some of the things Reading management have been throwing on the pitch in the last 18 months.

One of my favourite games ever was our Elm Park clash against Bolton in late 90s where Quinn was in goal but we still won 3-2

My confrontation with and goading of angry northern troglodites after the match made my year.

Where's Morley when you need him?

Bring it!!!!!!

Bolton made 5 changes in their defeat at Bristol City in the FA Cup.

They have picked up some niggling doubts over David Wheater, Marc Wilson and Ben Alnwick ahead of the game with Reading.

John Smith As mentioned in a separate thread, this game is Burton (a) last season.

Goes to show we have made no progress in exactly a year.

Thought that we had turned the corner at that game. As was a combatative fighting performance. Instead we've suffered a year of which team will turn up on the day syndrome. Despite the obvious talent a definate lack of mental toughness. This game should show if Gomes & Co have had an real impact with their methods. Where others have failed previously.

Think it’s been fairly predictable which team will turn up

Anyway the good news today is that Wigan, Ipswich and Rotherham all lost so a Reading win will seriously improve the club’s challenge to win the 4 team relegation league. Even a draw wouldn’t be too bad so long as it can be followed up in the right manner against Villa next week.

Maybe a small risk of postponement as it's meant to snow Tuesday

What’s your source for Bolton having to approve red button?

I don’t expect they have a choice and it will be on the red button.
