tidus_mi2 I don't get why everyone is having fun criticising Kelly, he's a product of the youth academy, I want him to succeed, he's had a poor season but I hope he learns from this and can either force his way back into Gomes's plans or use the summer to push on for next season.

Ah the old "free pass because he is an academy product" rule.

Yes, I have a tendency to have more affections towards players we have brought through our academy, sue me.

Still ended up hating HRK.

Old Man Andrews If any of the Liam Kelly fan boys are taking note an 17 year old lad who hasn't ever started a league game has been picked over him. That's the level he is. There can no longer be a debate.

Mate, you’re incredibly dull bringing up Kelly every single game.

Er, it wasn't OMA who brought up Kelly. Others did, and OMA responded.

OMA may not have brought up Kelly, but he's the one trotting out the same tedious trolling attempts about him whenever he is mentioned.

As opposed to bringing up a Gomes comment with monotonous regularity that has already been discussed at length.
Oh, and not 'may not'. Absolutely 'did not'. Concede a point if you wish.

How can that have been discussed with monotonous regularity when the comment was only made this week?

No one is trying to troll people about it either. We've briefly discussed it. That's it.

Stoke are absolutely battering us.

You do look at Stoke’s team and wonder how they are so low in the table

Would take a point happily tbh, don’t care what form they’ve been on

With the exception of Feds, their bench would get straight in to our 1st XI without a blink of an eye

Stoke have one of the best squads in the league, which goes to show that sometimes a good squad isn't everything. They should be doing better than they are and we shouldn't be misled by their league position. Having said that, if others teams can beat them then so can we.

True SCIAG

I genuinely don’t know how they could underperform so much with that squad.

Sounds like we are coming into it a little anyway

Sounds like they have real struggles scoring goals - have to frustrate them as long as poss, get the crowd on their back etc

The stats wouldn`t indicate we are getting battered.

I'd literally never heard of Olise until he appeared on the bench last week. He must have something if Gomes has decided to fasttrack him.

At the time of posting, they hit the woodwork twice and fizzed another narrowly wide.

It's grown a bit more even recently, but we are having a lot of sloppy turnovers in midfield starting counters.

He's certainly quick and positive. Not sure how good yet though.

Think you or I would get a game over Kelly in Gomes' eyes. There's more to it than poor performance surely.

I don't pick the team Ian, I was merely responding to the selection. If you think you know better than me then that's fine but I'm not sure you are qualified enough to know better than a professional football manager who works with the players daily.

Olise looking unsurprisingly lightweight and easy to run off the ball.

Blackett not having a great game.
