Won’t that force a change in ownership? Presume they should get hit with a minimum 12 point deduction as well.

Heard some fan saying that is what they want just to get the Oysten's out

Yep - fans are boycotting at the mo, and the 12 points will push them in to a relegation battle (though they would be 17th) but you have to think that the fans coming back to the club would boost them enough to be safe and have a fresh start.

That's all well and good, but if the club have to find the £25m and can't, then where next - liquidation ? Then there would have been no point to the protest at all because they wouldn't have a club at all.

Unless, of course, they can find the odd £25m down the back of the sofa.

I think some if not all - would rather the club go to the wall and start again in Non-League that continue to give the Oystons cash.

That's fair enough - they just need to recognise that the scenario is not out of the question at all.

Maybe they could relocate to … I don't know … Milton Keynes

Are we seeing the end of Bolton Wanderers FC? Players still not paid for February.

Could they go on strike? Bit extreme possibly.

There is a Winding Up petition in High Court tomorrow.

Could be that BWFC ceases to be a club by lunchtime.

It is different to Administration, remind me what the result of failing to meet all the fixtures- does that in any remote way lesson our chances of relegation? I assume we all think that we are playing for the one remaining spot?

Yep, takeover fallen through, grim reading on twitter the likelihood of them surviving.

Wigan to suffer most from the points being erased, looks a bit better for us, obvs only 2 to go down (current pos, adjusted pos, current pts, lost pts, adjusted pts)

On a purely long held grudge note. Fck you DeFreitas and Macateer.

Story I read yesterday seems to suggest they'll go into administration, with the mandatory 12 point penalty that entails

Would say this is most likely outcome - if they are going to go in then they'll want it to be confirmed today (or before 28th) else they will start next year with -12.

Winding up hearing adjourned til 3rd April.

Means if they do go into admin then any penalty will be next season.

Bolton players to carry out a 48 hour strike (training) in protest of not being paid on time......cue the quips of their season-long matchday strikes.....

Surely striking on training days only has the potential to hurt the first team and their results?

They are doing it to try and force through the payment for the rest of the club staff who are less likely to be able to afford not to be paid. Fair play to them for doing so.

Supporters will not be allowed in to the Bolton stadium for the next two home games: https://www.theboltonnews.co.uk/news/17 ... two-games/

The Council Security Advisory Group have decided that if Bolton survive tomorrow's winding up order then there will not be enough time to adequately ensure the safety of attendees so have put a prohibition order on the stadium.

Not clear if this means the games can still go ahead behind closed doors.

Two options. Postpone the games or play them behind closed doors. Got to be the latter as there just isn’t the time to rearrange and other teams around Bolton would no doubt give the FL serious earache if they felt Bolton were going to get an advantage by building up games in hand

......which would also be an unfair punishment for the away teams supporters.

To that end, the fixture could be rearranged so as the away team become the host team (Boltons home game becomes another away game) ...but that could be seen as an unfair advantage to the host team, ie. two home games v Bolton ........utlimately, whatever happens should be accompanied with points deductions etc

No sympathy, 24 years of hurt

Not going to Bolton sounds like a prize rather than a punishment.
