Let’s see where we are in a couple of months. The club is in a much more upbeat place than this time last year.
FFP is going to be a factor. Fulham seem the early favourites but may have to sell because of their huge outlay last season.
Cardiff under Warnock will be there or thereabouts. Huddersfield are nothing to worry about. Swansea have lost Potter and are likely to lose key players.

Of the teams coming up Barnsley rarely do much at this level. Charlton solid. Luton are on the up and could surprise next season.

Of the rest I would expect West Brom to be strong and surely Stoke will have a much better season. As the last few months have shown we have nothing to fear if we get our recruitment right. Just look at Bristol City. They were bang average and yet just missed out on the play offs.

There’s usually one surprise outfit who manage auto / playoffs like Sheff Utd this year.

I think either Luton or Brentford will be up there, lots of good feeling at both clubs with new stadia planned

Amazrd you have Huddersfield and the other 2 sides that came down so high, Swansea and Stoke didnt find it easy after getting relegated with far more points than them.

Sure I saw stuff about Derby being stuffed financially if they didn’t go up.

They’ll also do very well to get loans as successful as Wilson and Mount again. Can’t see them doing much

Was looking at the list earlier & there really isn’t much to fear is there! Granted lots is going to change for every club before August but it looks very average at the moment. We could be in for a better season than everyone expects

I would take survival again for the next 2 seasons if Leeds and Fulham fail to get promoted in those 2 seasons.
Speaking to my Fulham supporting mate over the weekend who seems to think that they are too rich to need to worry about FFP and they will keep all there best players.

I thought Leeds were outstanding at our place and but for the terrible mix-up between centre-back and keeper v Derby would probably have made the play-off final this season.
The key will be them keeping hold of most of their young players and signing a left-back and reasonable striker and the only thing stopping them is that everybody wants to beat them as the biggest club in the division.

I don't particularly want it to happen but they look clear favourites to me.

If they keep Bielsa, then yes, unfortunately I think next season will finally be the one where Leeds go up.

The only consolation with that being that it would be absolutely hilarious if they just went straight back down.

I think Fulham will do badly next season - unlike Cardiff and Huddersfield, they replaced the players that got them promoted - and I don't think the players they brought in will necessarily hack the championship, or want to. So you can imagine a fair amount of turmoil, player unrest and churn. I also have the feeling, that like your pal, Fulham fans have "expectations", I think Cardiff and Huddersfield fans are less likely to turn on the team if they struggle at the start of the season.

However, FFP rules probably won't be a worry next season at least, they are allowed lose £35 million for the year they were in the premier league, rather than the £13 million it would be otherwise.

Leeds - they've got good players there - could do very well - or could suffer a reaction to this season and absolutely tank. Who knows? Also rumours of big money coming in, via Quatar. Wonder if Bielsa will stay?

Not a lot of thought went into it because it's so early. Just a laugh.

I thought Huddersfield might do well in a Burnley didn't get themselves into financial trouble decent Champ core. They had a very bad season, but aren't in a really long losing culture yet.

Cardiff, Warnock knows how to get up really well.

Fulham, have spent so much money.

Birmingham, are terribly run and just got hit for FFP etc. They've been struggling for seasons now and I'd like that to continue.

Swansea and Stoke didn't really feature in my thinking so they went broadly in the middle.

TBH, it's just a bit of fun and it'll make some of the tards happy to be able to bring it up at the end of the season, and they need all the joy in their lives they can get.

Oh, and Derby, I needed someone to pick for second that wasn't Leeds.
