From Despair To Where? I wasn't being entirely serious. The foreogn players in that league seem to be had beens and never weres.

Whilst Bale is past his peak, standard wise he could still do a fcuk it's lot better than China.

Probably doing Chinese football a disservice, but I'm just imagining Bale playing there as being like at school when the sixth formers join in the playground football game and win 54-3.

I'd say there's a handful of players in the league who, at their peak, we're getting up in the same ball park as Bale, people like Mascherano, Hamsik and Oscar, but in all honesty, the only reason it's being considered is because he's on some much money and Real are a basket case at the moment.

Had their most successful summer in ages in terms of signings.

Bizarre comment.

Talking about over the last 12-18 months, there's been all sorts of bollocks going on behind the scenes which contributed to their poor showing on the pitch last season. They've bought half a new first team this summer. Why's that, I wonder?

Yeah, it's been a good summer for them.

Separately though, I really love how you do the whole love everything RM, hate everything Barca on here.

Time will tell if they have had a good summer.
Just because they have bought players doesn't mean that they will all fit in, especially if they end up getting Pogba.

So Gareth Bale finally looks like he is off to China.

A shame, but....

Drowning absolutely drowning in money.

The owners of the Chinese club are also the owners of Inter Milan. I wonder if something will happen there.

You mean like a loan with Inter paying 0.1% of his wages?

Sounds like Nicolas Pepe is off to Arsenal for around €80M

Maybe Aubameyang or Lacazette will be leaving to help fund it

Desperate need of two CB and a nasty midfielder, and they chase yet more forwards.

Seems that bale is now staying.

Either real madrid realise they need him after they got stuffed by atleti, or they are not playing ball and refusing to let him move

If I was him I would refuse to play. He has been treated like shit.

I think he'd be better served by playing out of his skin and earning a move.

Refusing to play would make him look like a massive pcunt.

The speculation is that the Chinese club expected him to join them for free, Real Madrid explained that there needs to be a transfer fee and when the usually great bunch of lads baulked at the idea, RM called off the transfer talks.

Chinese transfer window closes in 3 days

He has not been treated "like shit". If they'd wanted to treat him like shit then they could have done what Reading have done recently and effectively exiled him.

He was taken on the tour with the first team and has been training with them every day. Both sides are fulfilling their contractual obligations to each other.

It was Bale and his agent who were the first ones to air their dirty laundry in public, not Zidane, and they continue to do so.
