A tweet to Meite along the lines of;

are you still here Yaks?

The reply from Meite was something like;

“people have short memories my bro” and a pic of him and Barrow.

Nothing to get too excited over. Maybe Metite read the tweet in the wrong context

It was a nothing tweet. Dont know how people read into it poorly. I thought it was about people saying they are happy Barrow is going and he was saying how well Barrow did.

Is he talking about last year's relegation battle ? We all remember it, bro. You both went missing for large parts of the season. D!cks.

I don't understand why footballers would have public social media accounts. It seems like the majority of fans who actually engage with them are screaming lunatics with less IQ than fungus.

'greed. But hes of the age isnt he. Probably cant picture life without social media.

I wonder if social media will have an observable affect on footballers.

Well, given he deleted it pretty quickly, don't think it was a "nothing" tweet. Given how poor and disjointed our attack looked most times last season, not sure he has the grounds to criticize

It can be a nothing tweet and pulled quickly because a nothing tweet will enrage the bottomfeeders of Twitter for no particular reason.

Well yeah, these days it’s not so much how you intended it that matters, but rather how it was received.
As such, it was prolly I’ll-advised no matter how you dice it.

Without Meite’s goals and Barrow’s assists we would be playing Accrington this season.

The tweets about outgoing players now deemed by some fans as being out of favour were crass at best. Players would have spent the last couple of days seeing new signing coming in followed by a shedload of tweets by so called fans disregarding existing players as if they were used toilet paper. Most of us would find it hard not to react or be protective of our friends under the same circumstances.
Fair to say, “You have a short memory bro” was a polite response.

Not that I am aware of. Barrow’s goals and assists record is very healthy considering he has been playing in a struggling side.
