This Team, WhoScored

by Snowball » 22 Aug 2019 11:11

After WBA 1-1 Reading

WhoScored has Ejaria as highest rated player in the league.

Smith-Ejaria are the two central midfielders in Team of the Season

Rafael, ATM is the keeper in that team

These ratings will be volatile for another dozen games, but I find the above
remarkable when you realise we have won just 1 in 4, and lost twice

461 Players Rated

01 Ejaria
05 Joao (Wed)
11Rafael
14 Swift
67 Puscas
69 Miazga
75 Joao (RDG)
96 Morrison

128 Yiadom
140 Richards
143 Moore
152 Barrett!

255 Pele
271 Meite

311 Rhino
352 Adam
354 Boye

These scores include 2/4 defeats. If our good form continues we should have eleven players in the top 100

There is some real improvement possible, especially for Rhino, Moore and Boye

Bit harsh on Boye :)

Noticed Cavaleiro got a perfect 10 for Fulham last night

Yeah, I'd probably put Boye around 140-180 ATM, Pele should be higher
but "quiet DM" it's hard to get the ticks, I guess.

No idea what their algorithm is but as the season develops
the better/best players subjectively do seem to float upwards

WhoScored had WBA and RDG neck and neck going into the game...

I hope our obligation to buy is watertight
and there is no way Liverpool can wriggle out of it.

Reading up to 4th in Team Ratings

6.99 Leeds
6.87 Fulham
6.87 Bristol City
6.86 READING FC.
6.84 Swansea

That's remarkable considering we lost our first two.

We must be close to top on the last three games

Raphael, Swift and Ejaria still remain in Team-of-the-Season

EFL rules are a bit hard to workout but I think if a deal is a loan with the option to buy there has tobe a legal contract in place involving clubs and the player.
I guess it could be an informal agreement which has been described as a right to buy but hopefully not.
I suspect we v,Ishtar already be able to trade that option at a very healthy profit !

I wonder what the most number of appearances made by a player before they make their home debut. He’ll play at Plymouth so that would be 4....

....and Miazga may still be fit for next weekend so this might continue, He fully deserved game time today and does appear to be an authentic option for us,

I could be wrong, but didn’t he play at home towards the end of last season which ended up with him having surgery to his head. Played though and didn’t come off?
