Sounds like Blackett is indeed out til mid September and won’t play

Obita is a possibility though

Wouldn't rush Miazga back but think it would be good for Morrison and McIntyre to play together.

Virginia

Osho
Morrison
McIntyre

Howe
Olise
Pele
Rinomhota
Obita

Meite
Baldock

Subs: Walker, Holmes/Odimayo, Richards, East, Adam, Loader, Boye

Haven't been following all the ins and outs so I've probably named someone who has gone on loan.

I want to win and so on that basis I wouldn’t play Virginia.

I really don't know why he's still here.

Even Everton fans admit that championship was always going to be too high a level for him initially.

I'd play same formation to help get some consistency.

Virginia
Howe
McIntyre
Morrison
Moore
Obita
Rinomhota
Adam
Boye
Olise
Loader

Bench:

Walker
Osho
Richards
Yiadom
Barrett
Pele
Puscas

Looks like the following Academy players have travelled for tonight and may well at least get on the bench:

Gabriel Osho
Ramari Medford-Smith
Akin Odimayo
Ethan Coleman

Osho and Odimayo were obviously used in Spain over the summer so one of them may even start.

I expect the vast majority of first teamers to sit out, especially the new arrivals who have had a fast introduction to the rigours of Championship football. Obita will probably feature at some point, off the bench if not starting. It's good that he will soon be available.

Sutekh How to follow the game

  1. Get a ticket and travel all the way
  2. Listen to Radio 5 Live and/or a myriad of other radio stations for score flashes
  3. Ring/text a mate for updates
  4. Use an iFollow subscription
  5. BBC Radio Berkshire (FM : 104.4, 104.1 or 95.4 depending where you are in the area)
Can we have some more imaginative suggestions please such sneak into the ground disguised as their mascot, Pilgrim Pete?

Walker is adequate as back up. He'll have a few abysmal games but otherwise be fine. Virginia looks like he'll just be constantly poor.

I was more impressed with Andresson on tour than Virginia.

Great to see obita has travelled, whether he gets on or not. Would be good to have 1 or 2 debuts tonight too.

Obita captain. Chuffed to bits for him. Also looks like plenty of guys being rested; good call.

Obita starts and is captain of a fairly young side.
