Jackson Corner Don’t want to say I told you so but I said we should have got Rowet as manager. Anyone who can make Cooper look a good player must be good.

I’m not too disappointed because Millwall away is a horrible game to get points at

And I know he’s an easy scapegoat because of cost etc but Puscas was just awful. Baldock is poor as a lone striker but Puscas takes it to another level. He simply cannot control the football

"No chance of the play offs". So let's concentrate on a cup competition we also have no chance of winning.

Looks like we were very well beaten tbh

Millwall on an absolute roll at the moment so not especially surprised

Another very tough game up next as well

One of the most inept performances I’ve ever seen.

If we lose on Wednesday, we’re 8 points off the playoffs with 9 teams ahead of us who aren’t even in the playoffs themselves

Would never say no chance but very unlikely in this scenario. Whereas you never know with the cup. Hypothetically, we could win against Cardiff and get the winner of Portsmouth/Barnsley for example. Then if you win that, you’re one game off Wembley

Of course, a result at Forest would change the mindset

After 11 league games this season we had 8 points.

16 league games later, and 28 points better off, no one is talking about relegation. In addition, we have a decent chance of making the last 16 of the FA Cup.

This is turning out to be a much better season than it felt back in October.

First time we’ve lost by more than one all season away from home

Millwall, under Rowett, was always going to be a tough game but the reaction of some is staggering. The modern culture seems to be to revel in the shock and disgust at anything that happens.

Get a grip people. Talk of play off places is very optimistic and Bowen is still working with an inherited squad.

We've just come off the back of our best unbeaten run for a long time and god knows what the reaction will be like on here on Wednesday night if we lose again.......

Even if we lose at Forest we still need to really press on in the league

Win 5 in a row again and suddenly your a point or two off again - but it’s more about just build momentum and try to get top 10 - get the club looking up again

That’s the reality. To make the play offs we have been playing catch up and it’s very hard to keep that going with such a tough run of fixtures.
Where we are is fine. We won’t go down but don’t appear to have much to play for in the
League.

The problem is the run of fixtures from now until late February makes it hard to put together another run. A different matter from late Feb onwards but by then we may well be a long way adrift of sixth..

but I don’t think that you are quite ‘getting this’ Barney.

“OMG, we lost away from home to a team above us”

Oh yeah I don’t think we will for one minute - but that has to be the mentality

What you do know with the Cup is that Reading have no chance of winning it and the prize money is barely a drop in the ocean when it comes to running a football club at this level.

Zip The problem is we don’t have any easier fixtures coming up to bounce back.

We only have to win the easy/easier games to stay in our mid-table comfort zone. Which allows everyone to get on with things without the worry of relegation in the background.

I think it's important to have a season like that; the manager can concentrate on whats working and what's not on the pitch and the players can build up confidence and team spirit without as much pressure on their backs.

Beaten by the better side, chalk it up to a bad day at the office and move on.

After the last 5 years, why wouldn’t we take mid-table obscurity? Would love to be well safe with 10 games to go and blood some youngsters

Blinking Nora, we've spent years flirting with relegation and suddenly because we're very very unlikely to make the Play Offs instead of very unlikely people are upset over our first defeat in 10 games.

Hows about we all enjoy a season of quiet improvement with nothing riding on it for a change.
