WoodleyRoyal
Sanguine Another crazy stat is that since Klopp's still transitional team lost 4-1 at White Hart Lane in October 2017, Liverpool have lost just 4 times in 88 games.

Talking of transition, or rather standing still - were Lloris and Kane not injured, eight of Spurs' starting XI on that day would have started against Liverpool on Saturday evening.

And how many of the liverpool team that played in that game in 2017 were in the starting line on saturday

I make it 4. Gomez, Henderson, Firminho & Salah

Team that lost 4-1: Mingolet, Moreno, Lovren, Matip, Gomez, Can, Henderson, Milner, Coutinho, Firminho, Salah

Team that won 1-0: Alisson, Robertson, Van Dijk, Gomez, Alexander-Arnold, Wijnaldum, Henderson, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Mane, Firminho, Salah

Of the 4 that started Gomez was a full back in the 4-1 but now plays CB.

Of the other 7: Moreno, Mingolet, Can, Coutinho no longer at the club. Lovren, Milner & Matip all at the club still but all injured I believe and not regular starters (Matip could be classed as such when fit at a push).

Sanguine
AthleticoSpizz might as well hand them that trophy now....and deservedly so

Crazy Premiership lead

Just 35 points needed now, so they need a maximum of 12 wins from their final 17 games, and that's assuming City win their next 16 in a row. Every chance the title will be decided by the time Liverpool visit the Etihad at the start of April.

Down to 11 wins now

And since neither City are going to win the rest this is probably as low as 8.
Certainly would expect them to have it mathematically wrapped up no later than mid-March

When United beat them tomorrow it will shatter the fragile scouse mentality, they will choke and come second

Either that or I'll be booking a holiday mid-March (going bt Franchise's prediction)

I think, if Liverpool win this, that they’d have to lose 6 of their last 15 to fail to win the title if Man City win the rest of theirs. And that doesn’t look likely.
Assuming City draw 2 in the next 8 (not unreasonable), then Liverpool can, indeed, win the title mathematically in the Merseyside derby.

More importantly, how many must they lose to dip under 106 points?

2 defeats or 3 draws will equal it.
I’m already resigned to them beating it

Yep.

It's guaranteed to go unfortunately. Can't think of a worse club to lose it to.

70’s &80’s Liverpool, yes.

20’s Liverpool are the best team in the world at the moment.
If we’re going to lose the record it may as well be to the best team in the world.
