Royals and Racers Getting ridiculous now, games played at home by National league North and South teams who come in this round have to be played behind closed doors, while if they are away fans will be in attendance.

...bit of clarification - from the FA (if that's not a contradiction etc etc)

https://www.thefa.com/news/2020/sep/29/statement-emirates-fa-cup-spectators-290920

...so essentially non-STEP02 clubs drawn at home to 'Elite' (STEP02) clubs can only admit their own fans (and neutrals. :? )
I can anticipate most ties of this nature will be going advanced ticket sales only, with a cap on attendance.

Looking at a couple of other ties, lower level clubs are making their ties all ticket/advanced sales only - regardless of the 'Elite' or otherwise status of the opposition.

Corinthian Casuals (STEP03) subsequent announcement re their upcoming tie with Dulwich (STEP02) pretty much nails it:

http://www.corinthian-casuals.com/news/corinthian-casuals-vs-dulwich-hamlet-statement

I'll try and unpick all of this for the usual preview on the NL thread later in the week.

It's a stupid side product of allowing people to attend football games at a certain level but not others. If it is safe for 350 people to attend a game at a 2000 capacity stadium such as the Casuals ground then how is it not safe for 3500 to attend in a 20k stadium? Yes transport is an issue but not insurmountable.

The only logic to this is to stop people travelling up and down the country unnecessarily.

Crazy though that if the Casuals make it to the first round and draw Sunderland, if Sunderland are at home then no-one can see the game but if the Casuals are 350 (or whatever the limit is) home fans will - based on current rules.

Here's a fun one to blow your mind. Lewes play at a non-elite level so are currently allowed to have 450 fans present for their games to ensure social distancing etc.

Lewes Women play at the same ground, attract about the same number of fans but as they play in the Women's Championship they are classed as elite and fans are not allowed to watch them.

Same ground, same game, same number of fans possible but due to an arbitary decision, if it is the women playing no-one is allowed to watch.

Madness.

The simple option is that grounds who can offer socially distanced spectating and also provide the necessary level of hand sanatiser, cleaning and COVID stewards to ensure the rules are being adhered to should be allowed to operate with spectators in the ground with a limited capacity. It is really basic and simple stuff that the government have royally fcuked up.

Cray Valley paper Mills have a certain Kevin lisbie playing for them.

Also got a player called Jack Sammoutis who plays for a Sunday league team I follow called SE Don's. Very very good team, won the Kent Cup and almost the London Cup last season and full of semi pro players. Have a YouTube channel so check it out.

How well did Cheltenham play!!
If VAR had been in place the game might well have gone to extra-time and that would count as a major achievement, as leading until 80th minute was a great performance.
