If they carry on as they have so far this year, it is very likely that ESPN+ in the US will show all of the 5 Live on Sky games. That would make a $7.99 monthly pass from 7th November very good value!

FFS, more games on Sky means more games I can't watch on IFollow and have to find a dodgy stream for it that's lower quality and reliability and gives the club no cash.

The money from Sky will by far exceed what we’d get from iFollow passes.

Depends on how many people watch on IFollow.

It would take 10k to break even for a home game, which seems unlikely, but away is far more murky.

Might not be a huge difference.

But either way, I'm mainly talking about me anyway.

If only you/your computer were in the US you could probably watch all five in decent quality for just $7.99 through ESPN+

Doesn't benefit the club but I've signed up for Now tv's sky sports package - £25/month for the first 3 months, which works out cheaper than iFollow (provided we're on more than twice a month).

Do you have some sort of iFollow subscription? Because otherwise an iFollow match pass is £10 and a NowTV Day Pass is £9.99

This seems like a good idea for anyone who doesn't have Sky sub. Especially as, County Royal says, we're on more than twice a month!

Recent Reading league games on Sky’s main football channels since the start of 2017/2018. However while the record is awful it should be noted that Reading were generally serving up total arse performances even when not live on the box.

That said, seeing it continue with another defeat when Reading are supposedly the best in the league currently, is a concern.

30 Oct 20 - Coventry (a) - lost
12 Feb 20 - WBA (h) - lost
26 Dec 19 - QPR (h) - won
26 Nov 19 - Leeds (h) - lost
18 Aug 19 - Cardiff (h) - won
12 Mar 19 - Leeds (h) - lost
27 Nov 18 - Leeds (a) - lost
03 Aug 18 - Derby (h) - lost
06 May 18 - Cardiff (a) - drew
13 Mar 18 - Wolves (a) - lost
30 Sep 17 - Norwich (h) - lost

So that’s a record of

Home

Played 7, Won 2, Drawn 0, Lost 5

Away

Played 4, Won 0, Drawn 1, Lost 3

Overall

Played 11, Won 2, Drawn 1, Lost 8

Anyone got the record for live LEAGUE games played when Reading last troubled the promotion places in 2016/2017? I can only recall the QPR home debacle in January 2017, presume there were others?

Missed the QPR away game from last season which finished 2-2.

How exactly are players affected by TV cameras? I think Sutekh actually hits the nail on the head when he mentions that we were playing shite when selected for all those games (except Cov last Friday)

Given every game is now essentially live in some form, it really shouldn't be considered a factor.

So i'm in Canada and paid my annual subcription to ifollow $200.00 approx, and now all of a sudden we become the new Leeds and Sky gets all the games and i'm out of pocket as we cannot get these games on ifollow? Surly this isn't right or fair. Not happy at the moment.

Exactly what I said to the chap 'Carlos' on the iFollow helpline chat the other day.

Not surprisingly he cut the chatbox when I simply replied: "Thieves" to his explanation.

This has been the situation for a while though, hasn't it? Not exactly new information and not something that is specifically new to this season and seems to be out of iFollow's control if games get selected for Sky?

Also, with the games being selected for TV in the UK, are they not on the TV in the st8s as well as a "feature" game.

Think there should be some rebate for every game that SKY decide they want and is thus lost to those who subscribe to iFollow. For the record believe you should still get an audio only option for the game, though obviously is not the same.
