Moore injury apparently not as bad a feared:

Can't see Tetek being ready for the first team for a while, he's hardly kicked a ball in anger all season. Needs at least a couple of U21 games

Ince said post match that Hutchinson expected to be out for 5-6 weeks with Achilles injury. Carroll rolled his ankle and Long picked up a calf problem.

I have a suspicion that we might be about to see the downside of a transfer policy that heavily features injury prone veteran players.

Hopefully the benefits we've reaped in the first half of the season in changing the culture of the club will outweigh the fact that they're likely to be missing for long periods or force us into changes when they're not up to playing 90 minutes.

Can’t really call AC injury prone based on what we’ve seen of him. Also I don’t think Shane Long is too prone to injury either. Much of his time out so far was down to an illness. Would agree Hutch is falling into the injury prone category though.

Let's be honest, it's not just the older players who are getting injured a lot.

Hutchinson has been a walking injury basically all of his career, I believe he temporarily retired at one point much earlier in his career due to an injury (possibly his knee).

To be dead honest, as unpopular as it might be, I don't think we will miss him that much unless he comes in at CB. He's too rash for me sometimes. Committed and aggressive, but rash.

Good to have Carroll back earlier than expected if this is the case, Moore and Hutch I'm not surprised about they are always injured at this point. Sarr would be ok to help bolster the squad again.

Joao (knee) and Holmes possible doubts ahead of Saturday. Ince also has the flu so is a possibility to be out

Possibility that Moore could be back - Ince debating playing him for the U21 on Friday or taking him on the coach up to Sunderland - which I guess will go with the decision taken on Holmes. Sarr likely to return, ditto Baba who was out with tonsilitis last weekend

Long term sicknotes Ejaria and Hutchinson still out - Ince admitting Hutchinson is likely to be out for at least a month as his recovery is not going so well. Like Hutch but the pair of them are a waste of a valuable squad place. Craig and Tetek out too

Obviously Carroll is back on Saturday with Loum going the other way. In other words, the squad could read as anything on Saturday!
