Brogue as lazy a suggestion as can be, but i'd still say warnock tbh. reckon we could entice him out of retirement

I absolutely see Warnock at any time in the previous few years, but I don’t see it now.

He's a short term save a club from relegation appointment, before leaving 6 to 18 months later. No one is in a relegation fight this early, and we're in a multi-season squad building exercise towards promotion, ideally.

I'd say this is the first time in about 5 years Warnock would be a bad appointment.

Brogue
morganb Mike Dodds (current Wycombe manager) rumoured to be close to the sack. Not saying we appoint him to replace Hunt but reading some of the comments on Twitter he sounds a better coach than manager so a jobs-for-the-boys backroom staff appointment?

Also, Brogue mentions Warnock then within the hour he is apparently spotted in the Hotel according to Twitter - coincidence?

i couldn't possibly say.

at least Rob & Colin will have the same Dr Who in common...

There's also been some suggestion that Noel might benefit from a more experienced Coach as a mentor....

Given the nature of professional football, I cannot see that set up working beyond a weekly drip of stories regarding the Mentor replacing the mentee, depending on results on the pitch

Speaking of Ainsworth, I was curious to see how Gillingham were doing under his stewardship and was disgusted to see Swindon top of the league.

Most likely. He has a speaking engagement tonight in London, so he may well be staying in the hotel here given proximity to London.

I'd take Warnock or Ainsworth any day. But hopefully we won't need to. Hunt deserves his chance.

Snowflake Royal
South Coast Royal
Snowflake Royal It seems unlikely seeing as Couhig has said he has targets should he need them and Ainsworth isn't one of them.

Just lazy 'journalism'.

So it is ok not to believe it when the owner says that we would have an amazing transfer window but to believe him when he says that Ainsworth isn't on his list?

If one is capable of engaging one's brain to tell the difference between a factual statement and a hyperbolic aim, yeah, absolutely.

Chalk 1 up for engaging a brain.

We will never know if he was 2 or 3 on the list but I don’t think k he was or given his current circumstances he probably wasn’t in the running
