I could see Parky going to Preston if Alex Neil got the boot, more his sort of club and, actually, I could see Neil doing a decent job here.

Bolton manager leaving to go to Preston? Come on, you know better than that.

Speculation over his future at Bolton, more stable club, his home town, not moving far so not uprooting his family.....

And massive local rivals. It won't happen. Not a direct move anyway

Absolute nonsense.

Preston's big rivalries are with Blackpool, Blackpool and Blackpool. They don't really give a toss about anyone else.

No-one gives a shit about Bolton except maybe Wigan and thats only because no-one gives a shit about Wigan and they are trying to generate a rivalry. Bolton have long been known locally as the team with no rivalries.

If Neil gets sacked, I can see Parky being interested.

If we're being pedantic then their biggest rivals are actually Burnley. I think you're beginning to embarrass yourself slightly so I'll give you the opportunity to just leave this debate here.

For what it's worth I think PNE will put a run together shortly and get themselves safe.

Burnley don't give a shit about Bolton, it's all about Blackburn for them.

Embarrassed? You should be.

I'll just leave this from a Bolton site here. The comments and poll make interesting reading.

I see Bolton have slipped into the bottom six, ie The Parkinson zone.

A factually incorrect article from 3 years ago? Great support for your argument.

It is an opinion piece by a Bolton fan that elicits a discussion with other Bolton fans. I would suggest it's pertinent.

But please, direct me to something that will change my mind.

Anyway, I still think Parky would be interested in the Preston job if it became available for the reasons previously stated.
