Nigel Adkins finally picked up his first win in six attempts as Reading manager, and saw his side move off the bottom of the Premier League table for the first time since he took over. With Reading already relegated to the Championship the pressure was off and the Royals responded with a rare performance of confidence to end of run of eleven games without a win. After continuing a miserable run with a 0-0 draw against QPR to confirm relegation last week it was hugely refreshing to taste victory - and score 4 goals away from home in the process. Reading were convincing winners at Fulham, after taking a first half lead through Robson-Kanu's penalty kick. The second half was a lively forty five minutes with a further five goals between the teams. Robson-Kanu added a second with Le Fondre coming off the bench to get Reading's third. As Fulham threatened a comeback Karacan scored Reading's fourth to seal the much needed win.
