Reading suffered a huge defeat at Sheffield Wednesday - going down by five goals to two. Pavel Pogrebnyak was on the score sheet with a first half goal when Reading were already two goals behind. Adam Le Fondre scored a stoppage time consolation penalty, after the home side raced into a 5-1 lead with only 62 minutes played. Despite that late goal there was no hint of respectability in the score-line. It was Sheffield Wednesday's first win of the season - giving an indication of just how bad this Reading performance was.
